Best prediction market apps reviewed

Prediction market apps are widely available in the US, with many operating in all 50 states plus DC. I've taken the time to conduct thorough reviews of the best platforms and the best prediction market promos to help you sort through a cluttered landscape.

1. Kalshi 🟢 - Best overall

  • What platform Kalshi is on: iOS, Android, desktop
  • Who Kalshi is best for: Beginners and experienced traders, especially those in states where sportsbooks are illegal, looking for a wide range of options
  • Key available markets: Sports, entertainment, economy, politics, weather
  • Legal states: All states + DC (excluding NV and WA)*

Kalshi is federally regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and offers event-based prediction markets and more. You can use Kalshi in California and most other states, making it one of the most accessible prediction market apps.

I personally have used Kalshi often in California, trading World Cup, MLB, and NFL markets. Making trades is simple, and I never encountered high slippage, which is unfortunately common on other platforms.

Tracking my trades in real-time was simple, and I was able to easily find the current price, what my current profit would be if I sold my shares, and more. The ability to sell early to lock in profits is one of my favorite traits of Kalshi. For serious traders, this is even easier now that Kalshi Pro exists.

At this time, you can use the Kalshi promo code SBR35 to earn a $35 bonus after making $25+ worth of trades. After acquiring this bonus, you can send your unique referral link to up to 40 friends. I've already sent mine to 10, with both parties receiving $25 in bonus funds after we each met the required deposit and trading requirements.

Want to learn more about how to use Kalshi in Texas or Kalshi in New York? Check out SBR's thorough Kalshi review. While there are other great apps like Kalshi, Kalshi remains my top choice for prediction market apps.

Pros ✅

  • Wide variety of trading markets available
  • Great banking options
  • Easy to claim welcome bonus

Cons ❌

  • Complex fee structure
  • Competitors have sign up bonuses with higher maximum values.

*Kalshi is in the midst of a legal battle in Michigan. The state previously ordered Kalshi to stop offering sports events markets, but the CFTC responded by ordering Kalshi to continue offering them, claiming the state doesn't have the authority to demand such action.

2. Polymarket 📈 - Best for market variety

  • What platform Polymarket is on: iOS, Android, desktop
  • Who Polymarket is best for: Traders who are comfortable with crypto and looking for excellent market variety
  • Key available markets: Sports, entertainment, economy, politics, weather
  • Legal states: All 50 states + DC (excluding Nevada)

Under the oversight of the CFTC, Polymarket is available in all 50 U.S. states (except Nevada). While there are many apps like Polymarket, the platform separates itself from the competition with a great variety of available markets. You'll find everything from politics and culture to crypto and sports.

My only real knock on Polymarket is that you must withdraw via a crypto wallet. While this might be a positive for some, I'm not an avid crypto user, so I found the entire withdrawal process to be tedious. I'd like to see Polymarket include some fiat withdrawal methods in the future, especially since I was able to fund my account with my bank account.

Using Polymarket promo code SBR landed me one of the best welcome bonuses in the industry. All I had to do was deposit $10 to receive $20 as a trading bonus. No initial trade was necessary. I highlight the benefits of this welcome bonus in my Polymarket review.

Kalshi and Polymarket are the top two prediction market apps, so if you're having a hard time deciding between the two, I've performed an in-depth comparison here: Polymarket vs. Kalshi.

Pros ✅

  • Available in all 50 U.S. states (excluding Nevada)
  • Crypto friendly banking options
  • Plenty of liquidity on major markets

Cons ❌

  • Limited fiat currency banking options
  • Withdrawals limited to just crypto
  • Android App needs more polish (but the iOS version is excellent)

3. ProphetX ✖️ - Best new prediction market app

  • What platform ProphetX is on: iOS, Android, desktop
  • Who ProphetX is best for: Traders who are looking for a trusted platform that is new to the prediction market industry and offers plenty of sports markets
  • Key available markets: Sports
  • Legal states: All states + DC (excluding NV)

ProphetX has been around since 2018, but it only recently became a prediction market app. In June 2026, ProphetX earned status as a designated contract market (DCM) from the CFTC.

While I love that this platform is operated by a trustworthy operator, I hope to see more markets become available in the future. Right now, only sports markets are available, which is very rare for prediction market apps. However, if you're only interested in sports, then ProphetX is a great option.

I was able to sign up, enter the ProphetX promo code SBR, then trade $10 and get $20 in bonus funds. This is a solid welcome bonus that competes well with other offers from top competitors.

Pros ✅

  • A trustworthy app with a long history gives the prediction market app a great place to start
  • Available in most states, including those without legal sportsbooks

Cons ❌

  • Doesn't offer many markets, and none outside of sports
  • High fees
  • Low liquidity

4. Novig 🪙 - Best low-risk, high-reward welcome offer

  • What platform Novig is on: iOS, Android, desktop
  • Who Novig is best for: Traders looking for a low-risk welcome offer that dishes out more bonus funds than most other platforms.
  • Key available markets: Sports
  • Legal states: All except MI, AZ, and NV

After briefly operating as a dual prediction market and sweepstakes platform, Novig is officially a full-fledged prediction market app. In my opinion, this is great news. It makes the app much more accessible for new players, and it eliminates any confusion that was previously caused by Novig Cash and Novig Coins.

Using the Novig promo code SBRBONUS will unlock one of the top prediction market bonuses: Deposit $10, get $25 in Trade Credits. While this bonus requires a deposit, you won't need to make any trades to earn its full value.

Additionally, Novig offers great daily login bonuses, challenge rewards, and monthly challenges. You'll also find an excellent mobile app that boasts high ratings on both Apple (4.7) and Android (4.5).

Pros ✅

  • Great welcome offer
  • Lower fees/juice on sports predictions

Cons ❌

  • Low liquidity on less popular markets
  • Limited payment options
  • Only sports markets are available

5. OG 🅾️ - Best for live sports trading

  • What platform OG is on: iOS, Android, desktop
  • Who OG is best for: Traders looking to trade live sports contracts
  • Key available markets: Sports, entertainment, economy, politics, weather
  • Legal states: All states + DC except for New York and Arizona (IL, MA, MD, MI, NJ, NV, and OH don't allow trading of sports contracts)

OG offers plenty of markets related to sports, politics, climate, crypto, and more. While the platform doesn't do anything objectively better than Kalshi or Polymarket, I enjoyed how easy it was to trade live markets, especially on player props.

Because OG.com isn't as big a platform as Kalshi or Polymarket, I found that share prices are much more volatile at OG. This can be both good and bad.

Sometimes, prices at OG are significantly better than at one of the other top operators, while sometimes the prices are significantly worse. Because of this, my recommendation is to always compare prices between OG and another platform, then make a trade wherever the price is best for the most value.

Signing up with the platform allowed me to unlock the OG promo code and receive $10 in bonuses after making $10 worth of trades. There are plenty of deposit methods available. While I used an ACH bank transfer, you can also use PayPal, instant deposit, Venmo, wire transfer, and Google or Apple Pay (debit cards). Unfortunately, to withdraw, you must use an ACH bank transfer.

Pros ✅

  • Top-notch sports markets
  • Great for live trading
  • Low fees and cryptocurrency support

Cons ❌

  • Limited customer support
  • Some trading restrictions in certain states (NY, IL, MA, MD, MI, NJ, NV, OH)
  • Can only withdraw fiat currency through an ACH bank transfer

6. DraftKings Predictions 👑 - Best app

  • What platform DraftKings Predictions is on: iOS, Android, desktop
  • Who DraftKings Predictions is best for: Traders familiar with DraftKings' other entities, looking for a great app and excellent market variety
  • Key available markets: Sports, entertainment, economy, politics, weather
  • Legal states: All states + DC (excluding Maine and New Hampshire). Note: Certain states only allow sports trading, while others only allow financial markets

It should come as no surprise that an operator with one of the best sportsbook apps also has one of the best prediction market apps. When I first started exploring the app, I was very impressed with how well-organized and easy to access all of the available markets were.

Compared to Kalshi and Polymarket, I actually think DraftKings Predictions does a better job of providing information that traders actually care about. While I have sometimes been frustrated by how Kalshi and Polymarket organize my current positions, I never found myself wasting time hunting down information at DraftKings Predictions.

When it comes to bonuses, DraftKings Predictions is offering all new customers a 'Spend $5, Get $200 in Predictions Dollars' welcome bonus, without needing a DraftKings Predictions promo code.

Pros ✅

  • Easy to navigate mobile app
  • Trusted and proven brand
  • Available in states where DraftKings Sportsbook is not

Cons ❌

  • Not available in every state
  • Some states are missing certain markets (ie, sports)

Event Contract Trading is offered by DraftKings Predictions, a CFTC-registered Futures Commission Merchant and NFA member. Trading involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. Market availability varies. Eligibility restrictions apply. 1 per new DraftKings customer. $5+ first-time trade req. Max. $200 issued as non-withdrawable Predictions Dollars that expire in 1 year. Reward issued as $50 in Predictions Dollars every 7 days via click-to-claim for 21 days. Click-to-claims expire 7 days after issuance. 7 days = 168hrs. Terms: http://dkng.co/predictionspromo. Ends 9/20/26 at 11:59 PM ET. Sponsored by DK.

7. Crypto.com 🪙 - Best for crypto transactions

  • What platform Crypto.com is on: iOS, Android, desktop
  • Who Crypto.com is best for: Traders already using Crypto.com, and those who want the best crypto experience for sports prediction markets
  • Key available markets: Sports, entertainment, economy, politics, weather
  • Legal states: All states + DC (excluding NY)

Traders in most US states can use Crypto.com to make predictions for the NFL, NBA, college football, MLB, or various pop culture and economic markets. That said, liquidity is a bit of a problem in niche markets.

While having this many available markets is great, I can't get over the fact that unlocking the Crypto.com promo code won't earn you a welcome bonus. This is a serious issue, especially as leading competitors start offering bonuses worth over $100.

However, if you're already familiar with the platform, or crypto is your preferred deposit and withdrawal method, then there is a lot to like about Crypto.com. There are more than 400 crypto and fiat currencies available to use. I've used a lot of platforms, and none come even remotely close to that total.

Pros ✅

  • Most cryptocurrencies available for purchase or to trade with
  • Native mobile app to make buying, selling, and trading simple
  • Early Exit flexibility to sell contracts before the outcomes are resolved

Cons ❌

  • No welcome bonus
  • Low liquidity in some markets

8. Moon - Best for stocks and futures

  • What platform Moon is on: Desktop only
  • Who Moon is best for: Traders who are interested in stocks, futures, or forex
  • Key available markets: Crypto, stocks, commodities, forex
  • Legal states: No CFTC license yet

Moon Predicts is a new addition to the prediction market scene. While it has relatively limited markets so far, new users can use the Moon promo code SBR to grab a 3.5% Rake Back welcome bonus. This small refund on trading fees can give you an extra edge.

Unfortunately, Moon is not licensed by the CFTC, putting it in a legal grey zone in the United States. Most American users will get a notification that says, "We are sorry, but Moon is not available in your country," if they attempt to register.

Pros ✅

  • Unique Rake Backl welcome bonus
  • Leverage trading multiplier
  • Fast crypto banking options

Cons ❌

  • No dedicated mobile apps
  • Not currently CFTC licensed
  • No sports markets

9. FanDuel Predicts 🔵 - Best no deposit bonus

  • What platform Fanduel Predicts is on: iOS, Android, desktop
  • Who FanDuel Predicts is best for: Traders looking for an excellent no deposit bonus from a well-established operator
  • Key available markets: Sports, entertainment, economy, politics, weather
  • Legal states: All states + DC

The accessibility of FanDuel Predicts is one of the app's defining characteristics. Users in all 50 states and DC can use the platform. However, market availability depends on the state you're located in. Sports predictions are only available in 18 states, while finance, economics, and commodities predictions are available in 51 jurisdictions.

Even though I signed up in New Jersey, where sports markets are unavailable, I was able to unlock the FanDuel Predicts promo code and get $25 in bonus funds just for signing up. No deposit is necessary, making this one of the few prediction market platforms to offer a true no deposit bonus.

Pros ✅

  • Trustworthy industry brand
  • Available in states where FanDuel Sportsbook is not
  • Easy to claim its no deposit welcome bonus

Cons ❌

  • Sports predictions only available in some states
  • Limited political markets

Want to see how FanDuel Predicts compares to a top prediction market app? Check out SBR's FanDuel Predicts vs. Polymarket page.

10. Fanatics Markets 🤩 - Best market coverage for awards shows

  • What platform Fanatics Markets is on: iOS, Android, desktop
  • Who Fanatics Markets is best for: Traders interested in pop culture and political markets
  • Key available markets: Sports, entertainment, economy, politics, weather
  • Legal states: AL, AK, CA, DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, ME, MN, MS, NE, NH, NM, ND, OK, OR, RI, SC, SD, TX, UT, or WA.

To me, Fanatics Markets is one of the best-thought-out prediction platforms. It's easy to navigate, offers unique markets, and has an excellent Help Center with numerous FAQs.

My favorite thing about the app is that it offers plenty of coverage of awards shows and other pop culture events. If you're into the Grammys, Oscars, or Emmys, you will find no shortage of markets. Of course, there are also plenty of sports markets.

I was also able to unlock the Fanatics Markets promo code and grab a 100% trade match up to $350 (over 14 days). While you'll need to trade a lot to max out this bonus, it's one of the largest in the industry. There's also an extra $500 in FanCash bonuses available to anyone who trades more than $10,000 in their first seven days.

My main hope is that Fanatics Markets introduces more payment methods soon. Right now, you can only deposit with online banking, debit cards, or Apple Pay. Withdrawals are even more limited, as online banking is the only option unless you plan to withdraw over $1,000.

Pros ✅

  • Great coverage of awards shows and other pop culture events
  • Available in states where Fanatics Sportsbook isn't
  • No deposit welcome bonus

Cons ❌

  • Limited payment options
  • Bonuses after the welcome offer have high entry points

Users can also consider Coinbase promo codeGemini predictions promo codeROLR prediction market promo code, and the Sleeper Markets promo code.

11. Robinhood 🏹 - Best for sports and stock trading

  • What platform Robinhood is on: iOS, Android, desktop
  • Who Robinhood is best for: Traders who already use Robinhood and want to trade sports contracts in the same location as their stocks
  • Key available markets: Sports, entertainment, economy, politics, weather
  • Legal states: All states + DC

Robinhood is certified by the CFTC and is a member of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SPIC) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). If you're looking to purchase prediction market contracts on the same platform where you trade stocks, there is no better app than Robinhood.

However, even if you're unfamiliar with Robinhood, this is a platform that is still worth checking out. When using the app, I found plenty of markets tied to sports, the climate, elections, the economy, and more. Unfortunately, there are no player props available for sports markets.

Finally, when I unlocked the Robinhood promo code, I received just one single $5 stock. That's pretty weak when compared to the bonuses from leading competitors.

Pros ✅

  • Low commissions and account minimums
  • Simple "Yes/No" contracts
  • Lower fees for Gold Members

Cons ❌

  • The mobile app is missing some useful features
  • A lack of predictions-focused support options
  • Weak welcome offer

How to sign up with prediction market apps

In this step-by-step guide, I explain how to register, make trades, and ultimately withdraw winnings at the best prediction market apps.

1. Register 📋

I've signed up for nearly 20 prediction market apps. While there are always going to be minor differences, such as whether you need to enter a promo code or sign up with Google rather than an email address, the steps I followed were pretty much the same everywhere.

Signing up at a prediction market app is just like registering at any traditional sportsbook. You'll need to enter an email address and password, then present personal information, like your name, date of birth, and Social Security Number.

On some prediction market apps, you'll need to enter additional information, such as household income, or upload a government-issued ID and a picture of yourself.

For apps with a promo code, enter it during registration to ensure you receive your welcome bonus.

2. Deposit 💰

Once you've made your account, you'll need to fund it. Check out each app's banking methods to decide how you'd like to make your deposit. While almost every platform allows you to deposit money with cards or your bank account, others allow for transfers via cryptocurrency. Crypto.com, for example, allows for over 400 cryptocurrencies to be used as payment methods.

3. Make trades 📈

Once your account is funded, you can start trading. Take a look through the app's different offerings, select the market you're interested in, then select either Yes or No. It's that easy!

Some bonuses won't be administered until you have met certain trade requirements, so be sure to read the terms and conditions for each app you sign up for.

4. Withdraw earnings 🤑

After you've made some successful trades, it's time to withdraw. Many platforms will only let you withdraw funds via methods you've already used for a deposit. Others have certain restrictions for specific methods.

One other thing to be aware of is that some bonuses won't trigger if you withdraw before meeting trading requirements. Be sure your withdraw isn't going to harm your chances of taking advantage of a promo before you go ahead with it.

How I rate the best prediction market apps

I've spent more than 10 hours on each of the best prediction market apps to bring you the 10 best options. Each app that I've reviewed thus far is one of the best NFL prediction market sites. Below, I've listed the criteria used to rate the best platforms:

  • Regulation and licensing: Every app that I recommend is federally regulated and operates legally within the US. Therefore, all of the platforms I've reviewed so far receive a high rating in this category.
  • Available markets: I look for wide market availability, beyond just sports and basic pop culture events. The more markets available to users, the higher the rating in this category.
  • Fees and spreads: I expect fair spreads from all prediction market apps, and I ensure that users aren't being taken advantage of by platforms with unnecessarily high trading fees.
  • Liquidity and market depth: While all of my recommended apps offer basic markets, I look specifically for apps that offer more than just game lines and championship futures. But having niche platforms isn't enough. An app will only receive a high rating in this category if it has the liquidity to fill orders for these niche markets.
  • Mobile app and UX: Easy-to-use mobile apps are vital. Every platform I recommend is easy to navigate and offers an excellent user experience.
  • Funding and withdrawals: I look for platforms with diverse options when it comes to deposits and withdrawals. Apps score higher for having multiple banking, crypto, and alternative fiat options.
  • Support: Customer support is a big deal, and I look for platforms that offer help beyond just an AI chatbot. I want to be able to talk to real humans. Having numerous ways of getting in contact, such as live chat, social media, email, and more, is also a plus.

What are prediction market apps?

Prediction market apps are a cross between a sportsbook and a stock trading platform. Instead of betting against the house, you buy contracts for a certain price in hopes they will resolve in a certain way.

For example, on Kalshi, if you back a team with a 33% chance to win, then you're buying a 33-cent prediction contract. If that team wins, you'll win $1 (of which $0.67 is profit) for every contract you own.

What really differentiates prediction market apps from sportsbooks is that you're not playing against the house; you're playing against other users. So if I purchase 33-cent contracts, my trade is matched directly with 67-cent contracts, completing the full $1-per-contract payout. You'll also find many more available markets, as prediction apps tend to have political, entertainment, and financial markets that you won't find at traditional sportsbooks.

Because of how these sites work, contract purchase prices tend to fluctuate significantly and are usually heavily based on analysis from other sites that track prediction volume and betting odds. Often, I've been able to find better odds at prediction market apps than at regular sportsbooks.

How to choose the best prediction market apps

Choosing the best prediction market app for you can be difficult. If you keep these criteria in mind, then I think you'll end up satisfied with your decision:

  • Availability: Prediction markets are generally available in more states than traditional sportsbooks. You can use Kalshi in Florida, for example. However, there are some exclusions, so check that the platform you want to use is available where you live.
  • Pricing: Shopping around for the best price is always smart. If you can buy a specific contract for $0.44 on one platform but $0.39 on another, you should opt for the cheapest option.
  • Market Variety: Some prediction market apps focus solely on sports, while others include dozens of non-sports markets. The more options, the better the trading experience.
  • Ease of Use: The best prediction market platforms have convenient and stable mobile apps or desktop websites, making it quick and easy to view markets and confirm trades.
  • Banking: Some platforms support cryptocurrencies, while others focus on fiat currency options. Pick the prediction market that is right for your banking needs.
  • Certification: Prediction markets are exploding, but ensure you use one that is officially regulated by the CFTC.
  • Support: If you need to contact customer support, the best platforms offer phone, email, or live chat options.

Are prediction market apps legal?

Yes, prediction market apps are legal. They are overseen by the CFTC, which regulates them federally rather than state by state. However, there is a small (but growing) number of restricted states for some platforms, as state gaming regulators push back to protect their licensed sports-betting revenue.

With states filing lawsuits against prediction market platforms, there have been nationwide discussions about whether they should be legal. One of the biggest states making headlines is Nevada, which successfully restricted Kalshi and Polymarket, at least for now. Washington, Michigan, and New York have all been particularly agressive in pursuing legal action against prediction markets.

Despite all the legal battles that are ongoing, prediction market platforms remain a safe and legal option in the vast majority of the country.

Free vs. paid prediction market apps

All prediction market apps require you to deposit and make real money trades to use them. You won't find a true no deposit bonus at any of these sites. After all, you're not placing bets against the house, so bonus bets aren't being distributed as a way to get you to sign up. Instead, you're purchasing contracts from other investors.

How prediction market app models work

Prediction market models take everything into account, from recent team performance, past history for certain players against their upcoming opponent, and even the weather. Prediction models will take all of this information and then cycle through thousands of simulations to help traders make educated decisions.

These models can be very helpful before visiting a prediction market app, as they can help you understand what key piece of information the public may be missing to make their decision.

Prediction market apps vs. traditional sportsbooks

Prediction market apps and traditional sportsbooks operate in a similar fashion. At both, you will deposit money and predict that something will happen. If it does, then you will earn winnings.

The benefits of traditional sportsbooks are as follows:

  • More sports betting options
  • Lucrative bonuses

The benefits of prediction market apps are:

  • Widely available in the U.S., with limited locations off-limits
  • More trading options outside of sports

Prediction market FAQ

Are prediction market apps legal to use in the United States?

Because of how they operate, most prediction market sites are legal to use throughout most of the United States. Nevada was the first state to issue cease-and-desist letters to operators. New Jersey followed shortly after. Some other states have followed suit, leading each prediction market site to have its own list of restricted locations.

How do sportsbooks set their odds compared to prediction apps?

Sportsbooks set their odds with the house in mind. This means that VIG is taken into account. For example, the Over and Under for a player prop may both be set at -115. This means that extra -30 goes to the sportsbooks. At prediction sites, the fee for the site is nominal, and the two sides of a trade generally equal out to one another.

Can I make consistent profits using prediction market apps?

You can make consistent profit using prediction market sites, but you're still going to need a lot of luck. After all, you're still picking one side or another, just like at a traditional sportsbook. Therefore, if you're struggling to beat the house, you may struggle to beat fellow players. The one benefit is the lack of VIG.

Do prediction apps work better for certain sports/events over others?

Prediction apps can be great for non-sporting events. For example, while many sportsbooks in the United States offer very limited betting options for the Oscars, prediction apps have a slew of prediction markets. If you're into non-traditional events and sports, then sports prediction markets may be for you.

Which are the most accurate sports for prediction markets?

Accuracy will depend on knowledge of the game, understanding of odds, and luck. At the end of the day, what sport is the most accurate for you may differ from someone else. If you're looking for an edge in prediction markets, then you should look for questionable lines that are seeing lopsided action on one side. If the public loves something and sportsbooks seem unbothered, it can be good to use that knowledge and back sportsbooks on a prediction site.
