🏀 NBA Player Props & Best Bets Tonight: Cunningham, Wembanyama, Jokic Featured in Six-Game Slate

Wednesday brings a light six-game schedule, and I've found three NBA player props I absolutely love ahead of the 7:30 p.m. ET tipoff.

I’ve circled Cade Cunningham, Victor Wembanyama, and Nikola Jokic as my top plays for tonight. What's better than wagering on some elite talent? Nothing. Let's dig in.

💰 Best NBA player prop: Thunder key in on Cunningham (-130)

Cunningham is one of the best players in the world and is a legitimate candidate on the NBA MVP odds board. However, he'll be going up against the best defense in basketball, and will undoubtedly see doubles tonight. The Thunder are going to make Detroit's role players beat them, so expect Cunningham to turn into more of a facilitator. He's gone under this number in two straight games.

Wemby to heat back up vs. Raptors (-130)

The one player you don't want to see on a back-to-back is Wembanyama, and that's exactly who the Raptors will be looking at across the court after getting beat down by the Thunder defense last night. They'll be in tough against Wemby, who's coming off an inefficent shooting performance and will want to see some shots fall early. His number at 22.5 is just far too low for me.

Jokic to do it all vs. Celtics (-105)

Jokic is coming off his fifth triple-double this month and is getting a Boston team in the second half of a back-to-back. The Celtics do many things right, so I don't expect him to blow their doors off, but Jokic will be carrying a significant workload in what should be a close game wire-to-wire. If that's the case, and he sees around 35 minutes of action, he'll do enough to record another triple-double. 

Corey Scott also expects Jokic to record double-digit rebounds with his Celtics vs. Nuggets player props.

NBA Play of the Day

The Celtics are coming in off a back-to-back, while the Nuggets are well-rested, and the game is in Denver, which is a significant edge. Playing at altitude is never easy, especially for a team on tired legs, and that advantage typically shows up in the second half. Denver’s offense operates at a high level at home, where role players tend to shoot better and the pace favors their style.

With fresher legs, home-court advantage, and the altitude factor working in their favor, the Nuggets are in a strong position to control this matchup and cover the -3.5 spread tonight.

💡 How I'm betting the NBA slate

Wednesday's card is built around matchup edges I’ve identified based around teams coming off back-to-backs. Unit sizes are adjusted based on where I see the strongest value. Two of three bets today are volume plays, focused on stars who will be playing in close games, which gives us more opportunity to go over their specific number.
