The Cleveland Cavaliers will travel to face the Indiana Pacers in an Eastern Conference matchup on Sunday, Feb. 5. Our Cavaliers-Pacers NBA picks are based on the best NBA odds.

Cleveland (32-22) will be a road favorite in a battle with Indiana (25-29) on Sunday. The Cavaliers have been alternating wins and losses over their last eight games during a 4-4 stretch, but they're coming off a 128-113 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Pacers have been playing better since Tyrese Haliburton returned to the fold, recording a 107-104 win over the Sacramento Kings last time out after going to the wire with the Los Angeles Lakers the night before. Is another close game coming on Sunday?

Here is our best Cavaliers-Pacers NBA pick (odds via PointsBet; Pick confidence is based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Cavaliers vs. Pacers odds analysis

Cleveland opened as a 4.5-point favorite, but the line has been pushed to 5 or 5.5. BetMGM is the lone sportsbook sitting at 5.5, which is where bettors should go to take the home underdog.

The total hasn't been moving much, as it started at 226 and is sitting around 225.5 and 226 on Sunday morning. Caesars is currently posting the best price on the Under with a standard -110 vig on a total of 226.

The Cavaliers are 27-24-3 against the spread with a 29-25 clip to the Under. Meanwhile, the Pacers are 29-25 ATS on the year and 28-25-1 to the Under.

Cavaliers vs. Pacers pick

Tyrese Haliburton Under 33.5 points, rebounds, and assists (-120 via PointsBet) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Haliburton returned after being sidelined for nearly a month on Thursday, the same day he was named an All-Star reserve. He's been incredible this season, but we might be getting some inflated lines on him after his All-Star nomination.

The guard scored just 10 points to go along with nine assists and four rebounds last time out against the Kings. Numberfire projects him to record just 17.1 points against the Cavaliers on Sunday, which suggests there might be value on the Under for his scoring prop. But I prefer the points, rebounds, and assists line, as it provides a 20% edge based on Numberfire’s projections.

The Cavaliers come into this contest ranked first in scoring defense while allowing 106.9 points per game. They also pace the league in defensive rating at 110.3. Cleveland’s primary responsibility on defense will be Haliburton, who helped Indiana snap a four-game skid when he stepped back on the floor.

Haliburton will hit the Over if he produces a normal night, as the 22-year-old is averaging 20.1 points, 10.2 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per contest. But this is a four-star pick because I'm betting against an average performance when Haliburton faces the league's best defensive team.

Three of our five top-rated sportsbooks are sitting at a total of 31.5 points, rebounds, and assists for Haliburton. On that market line alone, we're getting value in the 33.5 available at two other books.

I'm choosing PointsBet due to a slight discount on the vig. This is playable at 33.5 with a vig up to -135 before I’d pass on the prop entirely. There might be an opportunity to come back on the Over if the line drops much further.
