Premier League Title Odds 2026-27: Arsenal Top of Oddsboard After Matchweek 1
Gameweek 1 has mostly come to a conclusion, and we've updated the latest Premier League odds as we look at a whirlwind of results from the opening games. The holders, Arsenal, recorded a convincing 3-0 victory over visiting Coventry City and have shortened to -110 betting favorites on the future market - that's a 52.36% implied chance of repeating.
The most shocking result, perhaps, from the opening week was Hull's 2-0 win over visiting Manchester United. Despite the final scoreline, does Manchester City have major concerns after squeaking out a 2-1 victory? Is Liverpool's window truly closed despite a star-studded team? With new managers all over, and a week left in the transfer market, there is plenty of movement to come in the coming weeks.

There was a lot of movement after Matchday 1, and things will settle down in the first couple of weeks as we get a better feel for what teams are all about.
Particular notice to Manchester United, with a shocker at Hull, going from +600 to +1200.
⚽ Premier League odds favorites & long shots
Arsenal (-110)
The Gunners snapped a 22-year drought with their title this year, the first time they've hoisted the trophy since their incredible Invincibles run. They're now minus-money favorites to repeat as champions.
A 3-0 opening win versus Coventry shortened the Gunners' odds, but there shouldn't have been a lot of surprise there, really. Arsenal dominated possession, was clinical in finishing, and flashed incredible depth with subs that could make the starting lineups for most squads - but it all came against a team playing its first Premier League game in about two decades. So, let's not draw too much from this.
These odds are insanely low for a full season future, but Arsenal should at least be in the mix throughout the year.
Manchester City (+400)
The final score secured three points, but for 80 minutes, it looked like City could drop all three points. The usual suspects weren't there to bail them out this time, with the goals coming from Guehi and Gvardiol to eke out a 2-1 win over Bournemouth.
But despite playing catchup on the scoreboard, Enzo Maresca's squad dominated possession, shots, box touches, and xG (2.25 vs. 0.65), holding Bournemouth to just five shots.
Talk of "rebuilding" is largely overblown by fans who are trying to protect themselves from disappointment, but the midfield might need more than Elliott Anderson. City has reportedly signed Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille and is apparently continuing to look for other upgrades ahead of the closing of the transfer window.
Liverpool (+700)
Saved by a penalty in stoppage time, Liverpool salvaged a point at St. James' Park against Newcastle so the opening weekend wasn't a complete disaster. But it's not what fans expected from Andoni Iraola's first game at the helm, and the fear is there that this team might not be able to compete at the top of the table for the whole season.
There is still plenty of talent here, but Alexander Isak has continued to come up short and the defense is mired with questions again for a second straight season. Better days are ahead, but I'm not sure they'll be good enough to hang.
Manchester United (+1200)
The biggest shocker of the opening week: United fell 2-0 at newly-promoted Hull City, widely considered the worst team in the league in preseason discussions (and indeed having the longest preseason odds to win it all).
The Red Devils looked entirely unable to break down Hull, despite having 72% possession. They put up 21 total shots up just 1.83 xG, and were completely undone by two goals from set-piece goals. This price is probably too long, but whether Michael Carrick has the chops to lead the way to the title.

While historical odds aren't particularly easy to track given different trackers using different dates, we can have a general look at preseason odds in the history of the Premier League.
Outside Leicester City, winning with a +500000 preseason odds line, no team has ever had odds longer than +650 and raised the trophy at the end of the season. Don't get carried away.
