It's windy there for sure. Not only is it a big topic of conversation for the announcers, you can tell the players are aware and talking about it too. As I type this the announcers are chortling about taking the over and who's on the over, that's rich!
"Most runs by a MLB team was scored by the Chicago Colts on June 29th 1897 vs the Louisville Colonels...the score of the game was 36-7.
Most runs in the modern era (after 1900) occurred this year August 22nd 2007 when the Texas Rangers won 30-3 over the Baltimore Orioles.
Most combined runs for both teams in a game occurred on August 25th 1922 when the Chicago Cubs defeated the Philadelphia Phillies by the score of 26 to 23. Remember the game well...it was one of those days when the wind was howling out of Wrigley and any flyball was ending up in the seats."
Wow, haven't seen that.
Wind changed direction, blew fron right field, knocked down Starlin Castro's potential walk off grand slam.
That thing landed on the warning track, where Aoki caught it.
An inning ago, wind was blowing out, that would have been a grand slam.
Tough break for the Cubs backers.
