Can the Mets win eight straight?
Without going into databases I can't remember the last time the Mets won eight consecutive games.
    I'm assuming 2015?
Last night's road shutout was impressive.

Matz vs. Trevor Williams in Pittsburgh.
Matz is clearly the better pitcher.
The Mets have been playing like their hair is on fire.
Usually it's hard to back the Mets, but as Crash Davis said "respect the streak"

Trevor Williams is not having a good season at home this season.
    5.71 ERA and 1.41 WH/IP
Check out his last seven starts too, note the disturbing HR rate. He does throw a lot of pitches too.
