On3’s MLB 2021 Opening Day System

I only tested April 1st - 20th so far as there is a lot of data to go through for 248 games. I used single line labby with cross two for each win and add one for each loss to the line. Because I am betting every game some of the lines look like $5 x 30, so when you win 10 games and lose 5 there are only 15 numbers left on the line ( $$ x 15) then the next day say there are 10 games on the schedule, well, I am 5 numbers short, so I add $25 to the line to make it ($$ x 20) [5 for each # added to the line]. Very similar to how you are running this system but I am just using one line and resetting the line if I'm at peak profit. First 2 weeks or so was very shaky before a couple of good days to bounce the system back on track. Will link a screen shot to what the graph looks like currently so you can see the variance.

Biggest bet was $143.91 to win $73.80 (-195).
Record: 150 - 98. (60.4%)
Profit: 41.7 units ($417)

so does look promising long run, but I think any of these systems need a strong stomach for variance when dealing with the labby. Only testing underdogs at the moment. I'm sure favorites would work in a similar fashion. Would be curious to see what percentage favorites win at compared to +1.5 RL percentage being around 60% this season.

Done testing for the night. Just wanted to share that little bit. Before I dive into these deep waters with actual money.

edit: Finished testing this season for all games +1.5 RL. Just took a small bad run at the end with high juice to destroy the system.

No Problem my friend, good job looks promising indeed. Have to be carfeul of long winning or losing streak in baseball but this could be avoided with the 1.5 bets.

Other systems are looking a little rough! This one had a nice bounce back. Just a couple more big bets to go and all clear with fresh lines :-) I noticed the hockey has some HUGE SERIES LOSSES. Makes this system very easy to manage! The only thing I would add is don't let a single line get too big in terms of too many numbers on it. Maybe cap your line at 10#s, so you only need 5 wins to clear the line. If your line is $45 x 10 for example and you lose two games at -150 odds ($135 ea) Just do (($45 x 10) + ($270)) / 10 for a line line of $72 x 10 instead of ($60 x 12). That is probably last piece of advice I can offer.

The RL with labby when adding units at least failed pretty hard. I'm going back and testing ML favorites, even if huge favorite not playing any RL. I was surprised RL despite being above 50% with the labby, betting every game RL just failed too hard. Just shouldn't bet certain teams like Detroit. Looking to try and labby the teams that are -150 or higher to increase win % and clear labby lines faster. Surprisingly there are quite a few games every day with high juice. Will post once I have this season's results. Would be nice to throw in another system for next season if profitable and fully backtested.

Yes I know, for hockey, I'll stop the plays 10 to 15 games from the end of the season, to avoid games that means nothing and had the most losses like in NHL. Some league, like Finland Liiga, Germany DEL, DEL 2, Russia MHL and others. I'll try to find a filter to avoid worst teams plays because sometime I use 3.5, 4.5 and 5.5 lines to have a win but the line is huge.

Why is the labby staying the same? Cross off 6#s, add two #s right? Should be only 6#s on the labby currently for the B plays today.

What I meant by keeping a 10# max labby was ONLY when your line reaches 10#s and then you have a losing day where you go 0-3 and instead of making it 13#s where you need to win 6-7 games to clear the line, you keep it at 10#s but don't keep it at 10#s the entire time when you go 3-2. Maybe if you were doing 1-strike method it would still be 9#s but not sure why you kept it at 10. This means you need to go 5-0 in order to clear the line. Where as going 3-2 yesterday and moving it down to 6#s can go 2-0 today and 1-0 tomorrow and have the line cleared without needing a sweep.

I tought that the units were too high it was to win like 7U on each plays but now with the addition of Philadelphia on A bet and adding 2# of 10$ to the 6 numbers, it's better for the 8#s. Thanks

I think amounts are off, should be 8.17 ($81.715 x 2) units based on labby line. Where 6.72 units = $134.40

Correct line based on these amounts would be (8.17u - 6.72 units = 1.45 units difference) Move that to line 2 per play or $58.06 moved back down to line 2.

I did some testing with one strike labby (cross one / add one) with -150 favorites or higher and total 9 or higher. Its only hitting 57%. It did show a profit doing no more than 5#s for a single line labby, but took a 140 unit swing before profit of 9 units. I think doing a total of 8 or higher might be better to have more games. Having less games can create a super heavy labby line when your line is small amount of numbers. For example if you only have two #s on your line say ($100 x 2) with -150 juice. If you win one and lose one line becomes $125 x 2 for the next day. Increase of 25% per game. If you have 4 games the next day it would be ($100-$100-$20-$20) so $240 / 4 = $60-$60-$60-$60. So the extra action does help quite a bit with the labby. But really need streaks to make up for the recovery of the losses.

@grecycle what was the peak profit this season for the system? Has it been down entire time? Whatever the peak profit is for regular / filter once you reach peak profit again, which you will eventually, I would just reset the lines. If you hit peak profit and go 2-1 the next day for a small profit just keep the lines fresh each time you reach peak profit rather than trying to recover every single dime of the loss. Labby is too volatile for that.

These are the teams records for -150 or higher juice with total 9 or higher up to date. Boston was a real killer. They won a lot of games when total was 8.5 or lower, but at 9 or higher they just sucked! I am curious if total being 9 or higher means both pitchers suck? I was hoping the 9 or higher means more offensive power, but might also be correlated with lack of fielding talent? Any thoughts on this?
