Morales breaks ankle after walkoff HR, may need surgery

Surgery may be needed for Angels star Kendry Morales after broke his ankle in the celebration following his walkoff grand slam in the Angels' 5-1 victory.
Morales suffered the injury soon after touching home plate, and he was transported to the hospital after his heroic hit. Early word is that he may need an operation, which would put him out for weeks.

I don't know how funny it is but I don't understand why they crowd a guy and beat on him at home plate when they win a game like that. Baseball players are soft to begin with. Some kind of injury was bound to happen.

It was just a matter of time before something like this happened. A guy slips, gets his leg trapped and has 4000 pounds of players land on top of him.

It's really amazing. A game winning slam, a trip around the bases, a celebration and season over. That's okay if it's the 7th game of the World Series but not so good if it's a game against Seattle in May.
