        Hi Bob,

        I just lost about 25 minutes fo typing a reply, so I am going to be as brief as possible.

        The was I understand things using ESPN you have to pull up Duensing and then check each game for results.

        I discovered after some checking my sportsdatabase query was structured wrong. It was actually telling me how many times the DEFENSIVE team did or did not score.

        So using 2 steps you get the same info as doing 10 checks.

        First query "season=2011 and starter=Brian Duensing and o:R=0" (opponent NO score in 1st)

        Second query "season=2011 and starter=Brian Duensing and o:R>0" (opponent YES score in 1st)

        I am sorry for the confusion, however if I had not said something I would have been stats that were opposite of what I wanted.

        So, thanks.

        Working together we should all do better.

        BTW if anyone wants to find stats on the team to score first here is a query that will give you the # of games the team scored first.
        season=2011 and SF and team.

        You can sort, add Rot #'s and then sort by Rot # and compare the teams for Scoring First (SF)

          I think if you get by the top of the inning in the Yankee game it should cash. Good luck tonight.

            Nice! I love how we built a nice information system here. I think everyone working together is much more effective than just 1 or 2 people giving there opinions. Someone has already entered the information per pitcher I see, so now all I need to do is bet!

            Hope everyone had a great weekend. but now its back to betting some winners! Thanks everyone for keeping this running and giving your thoughts, dont stop.. The more information/stats, the better!

              I think it should be
              "season=2011 and starter=Brian Duensing and o:R1=0"
              and
              "season=2011 and starter=Brian Duensing and o:R1>0"

              I added the 1 after the R to pull the first inning runs only..... at least I think that's right

                  Thanks for the points Tim. Thanks for starting this thread. I think you're right. This thread really has the people working together. Looks as if some of the guys will have the first inning data base on most pitchers so we won't have to spend a million hours every day looking up each one.

                                  Little bit on the sea/bal we know pineda is a good pitcher but matusz has not started this year... last year he went a nice 25-6 on his starts... I like this match up, but the juice already starting to flow on this game get in early.

                                        So i was tired of trying to compare the stats on different sheets and such for myself so i came up with something and was hoping to get input on what filters to use and what stats. Here is a pic of what im doing, and hoping to get some feedback on what other filters i can use.

                                                    You could use the pitchers allowed batting average, and/or on base %

                                                        SF/St. Louis = NO
                                                        Balt/Seat = NO
                                                        Minn/Det = NO
