UFC veteran Chael Sonnen (27-12) had some high praise for light heavyweight champion (17-1) Jon Jones today on the UFC 159 conference call. Jones said a win this weekend would be particularly special because he would tie Tito Ortiz’s record for UFC light heavyweight defenses. He also mentioned his dream of fighting at Madison Square Garden, like boxing legends Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali. But Sonnen, who warmed to ”Bones” during their coaching stint on TUF 17, told the champ he didn’t know how good he was. Listen to the full call here.

It seems like there is a lot of love for Vinny Mag. I would watch out for this one fellas. You have a juicy dog who has a legitimate chance, who is fighting a guy who can lay on him for fifteen minutes dodging subs all 15 minutes and somehow getting the decision while doing jack shit but getting a takedown. With the Larkin Carmont fight you needed a knockout or u were gonna get fuked in a three round decision. With Vinny Mag u need the sub or it looks like the same fuking might occur. Just my opinion of course. Not worth the risk. I can see it now. Davis with the takedown gets caught in a triangle. Shakes it off after a minute and then is in a Kimora. Breaks that after two minutes and then is in an armbar. He gets saved by the bell but two judges give him the round 10-9 while the judge that doesn't know this match is rigged (because all the money is on Vinny) gives Vinny the round . Davis wins a shady decision. we scream loud except for a couple of brain-dead nitwits who will defend judges till the day they die. Next card comes and everyone forgets about this one. Wash, rinse, and repeat.
