Although I'm a big fan of Penn I'm starting to like Stevenson at +240 more and more. Like goldengoat said, Penn's gotta make sure he has the gas tank to go 5 rounds with someone like Stevenson who is a great wrestler and hard to submit. If Penn can't stop him within the first two rounds then I really like Stevensons chances of getting a lnp-decision.

Betting on the UFC could be the hardest thing ever, one mistake and it is over for any fighter, any day!!!

Even I must admit that sir, it's really getting tougher than it once was. I've noticed it was getting harder once ESPN started to promote it more and more.

Yeah this is one of the weaker UFC PPV in awhile. I read an article before the last PPV that stated Dana White should of moved either the St. Pierre or the Liddell fight as either one of those fights are bigger headliners than this card.

I will still watch this. I think BJ Penn wins but I am not betting him at -290 which is what he is at Bookmaker now.

bj sounds pretty motivated though. he says he has stopped most if not all of the party life. i don't think the striking is even close between these two. BJ should be able to embarass joe in the standup

the jui jitsu is close but i give a small advantage to bj

              wrestling is almost a push

gas tank is joe until shown otherwise although this "new more dedicated" bj may have an improved gas tank but you have to be cautious how much you factor in until he's demonstrated it

-270 (thegreek) / -285 (bodog) is not much value on the floor but it is in the standup

I agree that BJ is worlds ahead of Stevenson standing, but think he has just as good an advantage on the ground. I also don't see how Joe would be able to take him down and keep him there since a great wrestler like Matt Hughes couldn't even really do so until the 3rd rnd when BJ hurt his rib.

I think BJ sounds like he is going to come to fight and really show what he is capable of...and imo he will be in shape because the fight is at 155. He tends to have trouble coming into a fight in shape if he fights 170 or above, but at 155 he usually is in pretty good shape to make the weight.

I don't like to bet on mma because one lucky punch and you're done, but I wouldn't bet on Stevenson unless the line gets rediculus because he isn't better than Penn anywhere besides having a Strength advantage.

Wow got to see the fights and sure am I glad I didn't have to pay for it. Although the fights were good it just did not have a PPV feel to it. They needed a bigger fight to headline that card. Stevenson bleeding like a faucet was pretty cool though
