Be careful, Bovada back to their old ways
Since all of my local casinos are shuttered, I decided to throw $200 onto Bovada for whatever dumb reason. I only do this maybe once or twice per year out of convenience versus driving some distance. I deposited $200 and played live dealer and computer roulette for a few days, up $100, down $100. I found myself back at $145 and went to the early payout black jack table as all other tables were full. My plan was to bet a $45 hand and then a $100 hand if I lost. The table was super laggy, unbelievably bad. First hand I got a 16 vs. dealer 10 and busted. The option to hit or stand was quite slow to appear, but it did. Next hand I bet $100 and was dealt soft 18 vs. dealer 5. I was waiting for the stand or hit option to appear live and it never showed up. I was clicking stand and nothing was happening. The timer ran out and I figured my hand was locked in at 18 since I didn't act(because I couldn't). The dealer gives my hand a 5 for 13 and goes onto the next spot. Since multiple people play one spot, I figured someone doubled down and took a 5 to worsen their hand. The dealer makes 17 and I thought all right, we have a win. Except the 'deposit now' button appears and I look at my score and it is 13. What the hell??? Multiple people were complaining in chat that they didn't have the option to hit or stand on that hand. A few people even stated they were going to sit out until they fixed the table. I called for the pit boss to complain and she simply said she would escalate it. Multiple other people were also asking for her and she told them to wait while she helped me. This is all in the chat logs. Of course I knew this was only going to go one way with Bovada and I was correct.

We are contacting you regarding your Case reference number xxxxxx with our live dealers.

After reviewing the game logs, we can confirm that there’s no trace of
“stand” option being called nor Technical Issues occurred on our side during
the game in question, rather we can see that you chose “hit” when he
had AD,7C (8/18) which unfortunately resulted in a loss.

If you require further assistance, don't hesitate to contact us.

    Regards,

    Bovada Customer Service

Of course there isn't a trace of the stand option being called upon because it was literally impossible. Also, my hand timed out with no action, is it normal for a timed out hand to draw a card? When I watch people play on other sites, a timed out hand always remains a stand. This frustrated the hell out of me. I've read the thousands of horror stories but never had much of an issue in the past other than a payout years ago taking like 3 months. I replied requesting the chat log and proof of many other people complaining but I know it is in vain.

I permanently disabled my casino at Bovada like 10 years ago and they won't turn it back on come hell or high water. At least they take it seriously unlike most books and don't allow the player to keep going back and forth.

I replied to the original decision with a lengthy appeal. I asked them to pull up the chat logs of the table around the time of the hand. Then we could all see multiple people complaining about the lag and not being able to act on their hands. Multiple people stated they were sitting out until the table was fixed. Of course this would work against their claims so they will obviously not do such a thing as pull up chat logs. This is the response I finally received.

catch23....sorry to hear that man but take it as a lesson learned. Be glad it was only a $200 lesson. Tonight I'm playing in a Hold Em tourney at Bovada and I notice for the 1st time something to the left of the address bar on my tablet. Looked at it and it said "site not secure"!! Looked at it again and clicked it and it said "site not secure and this may allow others to see the page that you are looking at".
I brought it to the Poker guys and of course they said....."We can guarantee you that we take all the necessary steps to make sure our Poker Room is both fair and secure". I'm not sure if the guy can read b/c I posted that it said SITE NOT SECURE!! Before they could even throw the copy & paste response "clear your cookies/cache" I made it known that I do that EVERYDAY so that ain't the problem. I told one of the guys in the "bovada community" that it was a helluva advantage to be able to see other players "hole cards" during a Hold Em game. No wonder it seems like I'm getting called on some hands that 99.9% of the time shouldn't be called......even by the pros!!

I miss the old days man with Sports off Shore and Barbara, Deighton and Julio. Those were the days that you made bets and you didn't worry EVER about getting paid and "issues" were dealt with and not just swept under the rug. The $$ back on Net Losses was pretty good too!!

Ya, I closed the account after another chat with customer service. I don't even care about the 10% cash back on losses. She kept telling me the investigation was final and that requesting for the incident to be looked at again would not accomplish anything. I've been surfing business complaint websites and it looks like someone posted about having the same problems a few nights ago and they lost $430. I messaged them to see if it was on the same early payout black jack table. I have never seen anything like it. Site is a complete scam. I would be nervous to have large amounts of money on there. It shows how honest they are when they won't even produce the chat logs or answer a few simple questions. They just ignore you and take 2 days to reply with the standard copy and paste, "sorry, log says you lost". My question was, when the dealer gave me the 5 to turn to my hand from 18 to 13, why did she immediately deal a card to the next hand over? As soon as she put the 5 down, she grabbed a card for the spot next to me. If I hit, like they claim, why did I have no choice to act on my 13? They can't claim I doubled because I only had $100 and was all-in. They won't answer that question either because it's damning to their lies. All I did was sit there with my 18 and it somehow got changed to 13. Pretty convenient that the dealer pulls 17.

Check out the screenshot from Bovada Poker Room. I have complained about it and showed the Message that shows to the left of the address bar. Was told it would be escalated and I should hear back between 24-48 hours. WHen the "site not secure" to the left of address bar is clicked this message shows up "YOUR CONNECTION TO THIS SITE IS NOT SECURE..........ATTACKERS MIGHT BE ABLE TO SEE THE IMAGES YOU'RE AT ON THIS SITE......."

I haven't played poker on any site in years. I know for a fact they use bots. I used to play a lot of heads-up games on Absolute and I could tell when I was playing a bot vs. a real player. Don't get me wrong, real players make dumb moves too, but the bots were easy to pick out. One of the worst was when I sat on a hu game and was immediately dealt AK clubs. Opponent raised a few bucks and I 3 bet to $10. Opponent 4 bet to $25 and I 5 bet shoved $75 more. He snap calls with 23 off. Flop was Kh Qc 7c. Comes out runner runner 2d 3d.

Now Bovada's 'player advocacy' unit is emailing me begging me to restart my account by offering a $25 free bet with probably 1000x rollover and some junk deposit bonus with a million x rollover even after I told them not to contact me unless they were going to give my stolen $200 back. Scamming thieves have no shame. Why on God's green earth would I find the person who stole my TV from my house and proceed to give them my Nintendo Switch?

catch23....they are doing some unfair s### over there now since the #coronavirus has shut down the sports world. Playing in Early Payout BJ last night after midnight I had 12 w/dealer showing A....I take "hit" and catch a 6 making 18. Dealer has A w/3 and hits a 4 making 18. My funds vanished and I still had 10x what i bet in my account to play with but since the $$ was stolen on a push I decided to not play anymore and went to bovada community to chat w/moderators who were quick to tell me I hit "STAND" on a 12 vs an A. THese guys got a lot of "issues" lately and can't even offer the DAILY CASH BACK they advertise b/c of "technical issues". Been issued 1x in past week but they love to throw out the Terms of Service rules, etc but only when it's to there benefit.
I am so sick and tired of the lies they tell and evidently more and more people are havng issues with some of the B.S. they are selling.
In the south, DAILY means everyday!!! Not 1x every 7 days!!
