Couldnt care less about the two absent skill position players. Iowa is stout on both the offensive, and defensive lines. Kirk Frentz is one of the better bowl game coaches, and Stanzi is the better QB in this matchup.
I started the Bowl season with Missouri as my selection in this game, but my mind has slowly been swaying towards Iowa, especially today leading up to game time.
Ferentz has an excellent reputation for getting his team prepared for Bowl games, and we saw what happened to Missouri last year as 14 point favorites. Missouri's resume is certainly more impressive, but they haven't played this stout of a front 4 on both ends of the ball. Even with the skill players out for Iowa, I still seeing Stanzi and the boys looking to salvage what's been a disappointing year.
damnit. I like a couple of other posters felt strong about Missouri initially, and even moreso after the news of the infamy in Iowa...but something in the pit of my stomach has me leaning toward the idea that Ferentz and co pull this one off.. AHH!
I'm going the other way here. I think Mizzou's spread offense will stretch Iowa's D. I also feel Gabbert is the better QB. Really don't see Iowa being focused enough to last 4 quarters with the Tigers. MU (3.5x)
Lucky lucky lucky...Iowa wasn't doing shit 2H on offense and Gabbert throws the worst pick of the bowl season for a pick-6? Mizzou had all the momentum in the world too...just the throw the fcn thing away? Better to be lucky than good I guess! Iowa has choked all year but Mizzou seems to be able to out choke anyone...they curled up and died as a fav last year too?
Houlihans....Im not gonna lie buddy, you were on the wrong side, but fortunately you have horse shoes up your a$$. Unbelievable finish, almost makes me think...hmmmm
