Ok guess we can start a new one now that the other thread is closed. Thanks to the idiot and his meaningless posts! Seeing he is in the negative points, I guess it came back to bite him!

#2I'm down with the syndrome. Glad it starts back up tomorrow....I tried a Hockey freeroll and ended with negative points...I believe I know where my focus lies.Comment -
#3yeah, fantasy hockey doesn't seem to be my thing either..Comment -
#4Started off great on Hockey , but havent hit but a few lately. With that being said Hoops hasnt gone great lately either, so hoping 2nd half of season is better. Also been trying College as I did well in that at the end of season last year. Gotta do more research as the injuries or late scratches are not easy to find like the Pro sports. GL!Comment -

#21Royally screwed by Bogut tonight. What sucks is I originally had Jermaine O Neal in. And switched to Bogut since I expected he would get 30 minutes after the AS Break. What a loser. 15 minutes. No points. 5 Rebounds and an assist? Horrible. 3 points out of the money and a 289 score.

LOL....Yeah I used it in a few different games on Draftkings last night. (made some money) Sorry to laugh I am just disappointed in myself since I wussed out on using that lineup for the $5 Satellite contest for the big tournament and never entered a lineup in and that lineup probably would have been my best chance to win a shot at getting a seat for that tournament. Go figure.Comment -

Hey fellas -
Looking for some advice on the basics for setting a line up on fantasy duel for NBA.
I came in 35th out of 50 in a 50/50 and 47th once as well.
And I felt good about my lineup going in...
Obviously I'm terrible at this.
What types of things do you look to exploit?
betting lines in Vegas to see which games are supposed to be the highest scoring?
Is there any team defense vs position data out there?
Home court vs Away court data?
How do you prioritize the variables?
Thanks fellas!

#27Cremice,
Check out thefakebasketball.com. The poster Mrsolodo does work there and they give out some very good information for setting a fantasy lineup.
Here are a few things I look at when trying to set a lineup for NBA.
1. Check the injury report. If you find a starter who is going to be out then his backup will see an increase in minutes and could perform above his average. Example being Tyler Hansborugh started for David West in the Pacers last game before the break and Tyler tore it up with over 30 plus fantasy points which was well worth his pricetag.
2. Look at match ups Who struggles to contain a certain position. Last night perfect example Orlando struggles to contain point guards and Kemba Walker killed them last night. As you are looking at this take a look at how a player has performed against the guy who will be guarding him. Walker has owned Jameer Nelson this season and that continued last night, Monta Elllis has tore up Joe Johnson this season and that continued last night while Brandon Jennings has put up outstanding numbers against Brooklyn and that happened again last night
3. Look at where you can find value in a price-tag Example being draftkings last night. Bradley Beal was priced extremely cheap at 3900 and he had a big night compared to his price-tag.
4. Take a look at each teams defense efficiency The 10 worst teams you want to single out and take a look at who is playing them, match ups etc.
5. Me personally, I figure out what percentage of workload each player has in each category over the last 15 games and I use that % for what they will score against the opponent.
There is a lot of information to take in if you want to be very successful at daily fantasy sports. Once you put all the information together then it becomes like second nature. You need to have a bankroll if you want to make some good money or you need to be very lucky. If you look at some of the guys who are big time players on fanduel you will see they play multiple games in a day because they have the bankroll to do it. If you have 100 bucks in your account you don't want to go playing five 10 dollar double up games or 5 five dollar up games and multiple 50/50 games. You have one bad night playing like that you wipe your bankroll out in no time. Money management is always a key in sports betting and fantasy sports.
Hope this helps.Comment -

#31Good info Jeeps. I was terrible yesterday so today with the high profile players out there, it makes it even more difficult to create a balanced lineup. For example, look how hot Lebron is. No matter who is playing, you start him. I pass on Durant sometimes but today against Houston, I will prob take him and Harden also since it will be a huge scoring event. After that you should look at matchups, sleepers, injuries, etc. Usually after the high and low players, I focus on the middle of the pack and find the value in minutes. It doesn't always work and luck is huge. Stay tuned to up to date fantasy podcasts, rotoworld, etc...and go with you gut if it feels right. Sometimes my first instinct of a lineup can be my best.Comment -
