Rams | Tyler Higbee unstoppable in December
Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee had 43 catches for 522 yards and two touchdowns in the month of December last season compared to 26 catches, 212 yards and one score over the first three months combined.

Cowboys | Michael Gallup strong down the stretch
Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup had 39 catches for 686 yards and five touchdowns in November and December last season compared to 27 catches, 421 yards and one touchdown in the first two months of the year.

Ravens | Mark Andrews consistent in 2019
Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews caught 31 passes for 440 yards and five touchdowns at home in 2019 and had 33 receptions for 412 yards and five scores in road contests.

Texans | Will Fuller a key cog?
Houston Texans WR Will Fuller played in 11 games in 2019, and the team averaged 26.3 points in those contests compared to 19.6 in the five games he missed. Houston had an 8-3 record when Fuller played and went 2-3 without him in the lineup.

Cardinals | Andy Isabella lacking versatility?
Arizona Cardinals WR Andy Isabella finished with nine catches as a rookie, playing just 38 snaps over the first eight games, and he was limited to 'fly routes and jet sweeps' because of his inability to separate on shorter routes, according to Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com.

Eagles | Competition for JJ Arcega-Whiteside?
Philadelphia Eagles WR JJ Arcega-Whiteside's 169 receiving yards last season ranked 29th among rookies, and Tim McManus of ESPN.com believes the Eagles will look to add some receiving depth via the 2020 NFL Draft.

Texans | Deshaun Watson sharp at home in 2019
Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson threw for 14 touchdowns versus only three interceptions in seven home games last season. In eight road outings, he accounted for 12 passing scores versus nine interceptions.

Browns | Kareem Hunt's return dinged Nick Chubb
Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb averaged 100.4 yards rushing, 0.75 touchdowns and 3.1 catches in eight games while Kareem Hunt served his eight-game suspension to begin last season. After Hunt was activated, Chubb averaged 86.4 yards rushing, 0.25 TDs and 1.4 catches.
Footballguys view: Hunt will be there from Week 1 this season, so Fantasy GMs need to make an adjustment to the expectations for Chubb. He's still a RB1, but Hunt can perform well enough to be a low-end RB2 in PPR leagues.

Steelers | James Conner much easier to corral in 2019
Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner broke a tackle once only every 23.2 rush attempts last season. In 2018, he broke a tackle once every 10.8 carries.
Footballguys view: We'll see if Conner can play more like he did in 2018 coming up this season. The Steelers offense as a whole should be better and more wide open with the return of a healthy QB Ben Roethlisberger.
    Link to story
    James Conner player page

Ravens | Gus Edwards held his own last season
Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards averaged 2.5 yards per carry before contact and 2.8 yards per carry after contact in 2019, slightly outperforming starter and backfield teammate Mark Ingram (2.4 and 2.6, respectively) in each category.
Footballguys view: The Ravens have a helluva 1-2 punch with Ingram and Edwards. We should see a similar RBBC in 2020, and plenty of power for opposing defenses lined up to stop them.

Dolphins | DeVante Parker got down the field in 2019
Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker finished third in the league with 939 yards before the catch last season, while his 13 yards before catch per reception was good for sixth among qualified players.
Footballguys view: Parker has flourished for the Dolphins and showed that their faith in him finally paid off. We'll see how long QB Ryan Fitzpatrick keeps tossing the rock for the Dolphins. They'll be in line for a top-tier rookie quarterback like Tua Tagovailoa (Alabama) in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft.

Patriots | Rex Burkhead hurt Sony Michel's numbers
New England Patriots RB Sony Michel averaged 19 carries for 73 yards and scored four touchdowns in three games with Rex Burkhead injured last season. In those same contests, Michel compiled six of his 12 catches for the year. In the 13 games Burkhead was active, Michel averaged 14.6 carries for 53 yards and scored only three times.
Footballguys view: The Patriots don't care about your fantasy stock in Michel. He's a talented back, but so long as the team continues to use a three-headed RBBC, Michel's fantasy value will be held down.

Seahawks | Jaron Brown unlikely to re-sign
Free-agent WR Jaron Brown (Seahawks) likely will not re-sign with the Seattle Seahawks this offseason since the Seahawks signed WR Phillip Dorsett earlier in the offseason.
Footballguys view: Brown has been catching passes in the league since 2013, and the big-bodied veteran is going to have to find somewhere else to play this season. He's a backup caliber receiver and is no lock for any 53-man roster for whatever team signs him.
    Link to story
    Jaron Brown player page

Chiefs | KC interested in J.K. Dobbins
Ohio State RB J.K. Dobbins recently had a video meeting with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Footballguys view: Adding a talent like Dobbins to the roster would just be unfair. Dobbins is one of the best running backs in this class because of his all-purpose skill set. He can be used effectively as a runner and is one of the best receiving backs in this class. Dobbins should be a late first-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft.
    Link to story

Cowboys | Dallas talks with Jalen Hurts
Oklahoma QB Jalen Hurts recently had a video meeting with the Dallas Cowboys.
Footballguys view: The Cowboys could be looking for an upgrade behind Dak Prescott. Hurts has starter's ability but he might take a year or two before he could see the field. He reminds our very own Matt Waldman of former Jaguars starter David Garrard, and Hurts has a great work ethic to go along with his athletic skill set.

Jets | Retirement not an option for Quincy Enunwa
New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (neck) is not considering retirement even though he is recovering from a neck injury.
Footballguys view: We'll see if Enunwa can resume his pro career after this scary neck injury. He is scheduled to receive $10.1 million in guaranteed money over the next two seasons.
    Link to story
    Quincy Enunwa player page

Patriots | James Morgan talks with Pats
Florida International QB James Morgan recently had a video meeting with the New England Patriots, according to sources.
Footballguys view: Morgan can best be described as a tough guy with a rocket arm. His footwork and accuracy are big issues and need to be worked on if he's ever going to be anything more than a backup in the NFL. He'll likely be a late-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft.

I hate the cover up more than the trade itself. Both parties acting like nothing happened.

              Tuesday Update

Eagles | Alshon Jeffery was shopped
Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery was actively shopped after the team guaranteed his 2020 salary last season. Jeffery found out that he was on the market and was troubled by the mixed messages he had received from the team, a source close to the receiver said.

Chiefs | Sammy Watkins turned it on late
Kansas City Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins averaged 96 yards receiving in three playoff contests in 2019 after averaging 51.8 receiving yards in 13 regular-season outings.

Colts | Marlon Mack a ghost in the passing game
Indianapolis Colts RB Marlon Mack managed only three catches (four targets) for 14 yards in his final six games after producing 11 catches (13 targets) for 68 yards in his first eight outings.

Titans | A.J. Brown got it done after the catch
Tennessee Titans WR A.J. Brown averaged 8.9 yards after the catch per reception in 2019 - the fifth-best mark among qualified players in the league.
Footballguys view: Brown was the best rookie receiver in the league last year. He's got strength to push through arm tackles with ease. Brown also has speed to go with that strength so he can just run by unsuspecting defenders. We're excited to see what he has in store for year two in the NFL.

Rams | LA Rams likely eyeing committee backfield
Los Angeles Rams RBs Malcolm Brown and Darrell Henderson may end up sharing snaps in 2020, based on comments made by general manager Les Snead on Monday, April 6.'What we do want to be is a team that utilizes more than one workhorse moving the ball, with different skill sets.'
Footballguys view: Both are talented backs and we'll have to wait and see if one of them emerges as the primary back. Brown is more of a power back who can grind it out between the tackles and pick up tough yards. Henderson is more of a well-rounded back who doesn't need to come off the field. He'll need to be better in pass-protection if he wants a larger role. We'll see these two battle in training camp.

Saints | Emmanuel Sanders officially joins Saints
Updating a previous report, free-agent WR Emmanuel Sanders (49ers) officially signed with the New Orleans Saints Monday, April 6. Official terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: This was a fine addition for the Saints. Sanders is not quite what he used to be but the veteran can still get open with quickness and guile. He should be a perfect complement to Michael Thomas on the other side of the formation. Sanders has plenty of flex appeal in this Saints passing attack.

Lions | Geronimo Allison officially with Lions
Updating a previous report, free-agent WR Geronimo Allison (Packers) officially signed with the Detroit Lions Monday, April 6. Official terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: Allison is a big-bodied veteran who can play above the rim. He stays in the NFC North and will work for a spot on the depth chart behind Marvin Jones and Kenny Golladay.

Falcons | Atlanta officially adds Todd Gurley
Updating a previous report, free-agent RB Todd Gurley (Rams) officially signed with the Atlanta Falcons Monday, April 6. Official terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: Gurley gets a one-year, 'prove it' deal to return to Georgia where he was a college superstar. If healthy, Gurley could have a bounce-back season with this fresh start. If not healthy, the team didn't make any sort of long-term investment.
              Link to story

49ers | Kendrick Bourne signs tender offer
San Francisco 49ers restricted free-agent WR Kendrick Bourne signed his one-year tender offer Monday, April 6. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: Bourne is near the top of the depth chart now, but expect the 49ers to address the wide receiver position with one of their two first-round picks.

Vikings | Bigger role possible for Irv Smith
Minnesota Vikings TE Irv Smith could have a bigger role in the passing game next season because of the trade of WR Stefon Diggs to the Buffalo Bills.
Footballguys view: Smith has plenty of upside and is in a Kubiak offense which features the tight end regularly. He's a TE2 with TE1 upside for Fantasy GMs in 2020.

Panthers | Christian McCaffrey an extension candidate
Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey could be a candidate for a contract extension in the near future, according to general manager Marty Hurney.
Footballguys view: Oh what a deal McCaffrey is going to get! Only the third member of the 1,000/1,000 club, McCaffrey is proven as a dangerous runner and receiver at the pro level. A first-round pick in the 2017 NFL draft, McCaffrey is in line for another 1,000 yards rushing and 100-catch season in 2020.

Steelers | Good progress for Ben Roethlisberger
Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (elbow) said his recovery is going fine and that he believes he would have been able to participate in some offseason workouts.
Footballguys view: If OTAs and minicamp were to happen, which seems doubtful at this time, we think Roethlisberger would have been limited. It sounds like he's on track for training camp, which is great news for the Steelers. They need to take their backup QB position seriously as Mason Rudolph doesn't appear to be the long-term answer.

Vikings | Dalvin Cook had dropsies
Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook was tied for second in the league and tops among running backs with seven drops in 2019.
Footballguys view: Cook needs to clean that part of his game up this offseason. He's the centerpiece of what the Vikings do on offense and could be in line for more targets with Stefon Diggs getting traded away to the Bills. Cook's 9.4 percent drop rate was third-highest in the league behind Raiders WR Tyrell Williams and Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay.

Packers | Aaron Jones hard to bring down
Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones was tied for the league lead with 32 broken tackles last season.
Footballguys view: Jones is a slashing runner who understands how to set up defenders in the open field. He has a relentless running style and is known as a hard-charging runner. That's one of the reasons why he emerged as the top back with the Packers and a rising star in this league.
              Link to story

Browns | Nick Chubb broke many tackles
Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb was tied for the league lead, with Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones, with 32 broken tackles last season.
Footballguys view: Chubb is tough to bring down when he builds a head of steam. He understands angles as a rusher and can blast through an opponents would-be tackle. Expect more of the same this season and beyond.

                        Wednesday Update

Giants | Ball security a problem for Daniel Jones
New York Giants QB Daniel Jones committed a league-high 18 fumbles as a rookie in 2019 despite playing in only 13 games.
Footballguys view: Jones will have to be better this year. Even during his college days he would get a little careless with the rock. Jones is the franchise quarterback and should have healthier and better weapons around him in 2020. Now, if they could get him a better offensive line that would help immensely.

Raiders | Derek Carr plagued by drops in his career
Las Vegas Raiders QB Derek Carr has seen his teammates drop 216 passes over the course of his six-year career - the most drops a quarterback has witnessed over that span.
Footballguys view: Carr is on the hot seat in 2020. Not only did the team add Marcus Mariota in free agency, but they could select a quarterback with a premium pick in the 2020 NFL draft. Either way, it looks like Carr may be playing his final days as the Raiders starter.

Cowboys | Hands betrayed Michael Gallup at times
Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup was charged with 11 drops in 2019 - the second-highest total in the league.
Footballguys view: Gallup was a solid player for the Cowboys but he could clean up the drops. We'll see if he can have better concentration this year.

Eagles | Miles Sanders dominant in December
Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders amassed 639 yards from scrimmage over the final five games of the regular season - the sixth-best total among running backs and the best among all rookie runners over that span.
Footballguys view: Sanders is the clear-cut starter for the Eagles in 2020. He's got RB1 upside with this featured role and could be one of the most valuable fantasy running backs this season.

Saints | Latavius Murray got good blocking in 2019
New Orleans Saints RB Latavius Murray averaged 2.7 yards before contact per rushing attempt in 2019 - tied for the sixth-best average among qualified rushers last season.
Footballguys view: Murray does a good job before and after contact. He'll continue to serve a valuable role in the Saints offense, working in tandem with Alvin Kamara.

Raiders | Darren Waller hard to tackle
Las Vegas Raiders TE Darren Waller was credited with eight broken tackles on his 90 catches in 2019 - tied with George Kittle for the second-highest total among tight ends.
Footballguys view: Waller had a breakout season in 2019 and was the league's second-leading tight end in terms of receiving yards. We'll see if he can duplicate...or even best..his success in 2020.

49ers | George Kittle had sticky hands last season
San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle was charged with only two drops on 107 targets in 2019. He was one of only five players in the league with at least 100 targets - regardless of position - to finish with a drop rate below two percent.
Footballguys view: Kittle is one of the best tight ends in the league, so these numbers aren't surprising. He's consistent and he makes big plays with the rock. Expect more of the same for years to come.

Broncos | Phillip Lindsay tough to bring down in 2019
Denver Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay averaged a broken tackle once every 7.7 carries in 2019 - a dramatically higher rate than he enjoyed as a rookie in 2018 (19.2). His 29 broken tackles last season were tied with Derrick Henry and Alvin Kamara for the third-highest total in the league.
Footballguys view: Lindsay runs with a ton of heart, and he's the only player in NFL history to enter the league undrafted and rush for 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons to begin his career. Things are going to be different this year with Melvin Gordon added in free agency. Gordon will be the top back for the Broncos and Lindsay will serve as a change-of-pace back.

Redskins | Cody Latimer deal now official
Updating a previous story, free-agent WR Cody Latimer (Giants) officially signed an undisclosed contract with the Washington Redskins Tuesday, April 7.
Footballguys view: Latimer is big and fast, but his game has been inconsistent ever since the Broncos drafted him in the second round of the 2014 NFL draft. Washington has Terry McLaurin as their top receiver and Latimer is going to be competing for that No.2 spot on the opposite side. Most likely, Latimer will wind up as a No.3 or No.4 receiver for Washington in 2020.

Arizona Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins has yet to take his physical with the team, but head coach Kliff Kingsbury said Tuesday, April 7, he has 'no doubt' the deal will get done before the 2020 NFL Draft (April 23).
Footballguys view: They'll get this thing official in the near future...then, the two sides may begin working on a new contract even though Hopkins has three years remaining on his deal.

Redskins | Washington chased Amari Cooper in free agency
Washington Redskins head coach Ron Rivera said Tuesday, April 7, the team pursued Dallas Cowboys WR Amari Cooper in free agency. 'Amari is somebody that we chased and we chased very hard. ... We would have loved to have him.'
Footballguys view: Washington is looking for help at the wide receiver position, and they may address the position in the 2020 NFL draft. They need a partner in the WR corps to go along with Terry McLaurin.

Atlanta Falcons RB Todd Gurley (knee) has yet to take or pass his physical, according to general manager Thomas Dimitroff Tuesday, April 7.
Footballguys view: Dimitroff said he feels good about Gurley's ability to pass the test. If Gurley is healthy and can regain his previous form, the Falcons just got a bargain on a one-year 'prove it' deal.

Redskins | Coaches excited about Logan Thomas
Washington Redskins TE Logan Thomas has tight ends coach Pete Hoener excited about his smarts, savvy and athletic ability, according to head coach Ron Rivera Tuesday, April 7.
Footballguys view: A converted quarterback, Thomas has been trying to play tight end for the last three seasons. That's plenty of time to learn the position, but the upside and potential is still there because we haven't seen his athletic skills turn into real production on the field.

Arizona State WR Brandon Aiyuk (abdomen) opted for surgery to repair a core muscle, sources said Tuesday, April 7. The procedure was performed by Dr. William Meyers.
Footballguys view: The word is that Aiyuk will be ready for the start of training camp. Aiyuk decided to have the surgery now given the lack of organized team activities. He should be a second-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft.

                                Bengals | A.J. Green healthy
Cincinnati Bengals franchise free-agent WR A.J. Green (ankle) has completely recovered from his ankle injury and is working out in Atlanta, according to head coach Zac Taylor.
Footballguys view: Great news for the Bengals veteran here...now, the team needs to get to work on getting him a long-term deal. Green would likely have stayed away from any offseason work in the spring without a new contract. The coronavirus pandemic means there won't be much if any of that work before training camp. The two sides have until July 15th to get a deal done.

Footballguys view: It's an interesting add for the Chiefs offense. Washington is compact and can gash a defense as a runner or receiver out of the backfield. He'll compete for a spot on the depth chart behind Damien Williams in 2020.

Footballguys view: The Chiefs keep their offense in place for the 2020 season and Robinson will work again as a part-time receiver. He's likely no.4 on the depth chart behind Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins and Mecole Hardman which limits his fantasy value.

Redskins | Kyle Allen could have advantage for QB job
Washington Redskins QB Kyle Allen would have an advantage in the competition for the starting quarterback job if teams do not have much time to prepare for the 2020 season, according to head coach Ron Rivera. 'If we were told, hey, you've got two weeks to go, I would feel very comfortable with Kyle,' Rivera said, 'because here's a guy that knows the system, has been in the system and could handle it for us for a period of time, and we'll see how that goes. That's kind of the thought process behind it for us.'
Footballguys view: Allen was added because Ron Rivera knows him from their days together with the Panthers, and the team needs someone to push second-year pro Dwayne Haskins. We'll see this battle unfold in training camp.

Footballguys view: Olonilua is looking like a Day 3 pick in the 2020 NFL draft. He is a powerful runner who can create his own space with speed which belies his size (6'3" 233 pounds).

Footballguys view: Morgan is an intriguing developmental prospect that teams are keeping tabs on. He should be a late-round pick or priority free agent addition after the draft. Morgan has a huge arm but little control as a passer, mainly due to poor and inconsistent mechanics.

                                Chargers | Austin Ekeler converts
Los Angeles Chargers RB Austin Ekeler had an 85.2 percent catch percentage last season, which was the best rate of anyone with 45 receptions.
Footballguys view: Ekeler can make plays happen with the ball in his hands. The Chargers rewarded him with a new contract this offseason and he's at the top of the depth chart with Melvin Gordon moving on to the Broncos in free agency. Ekeler is a RB1 for Fantasy GMs in 2020.

I know he was hurt a lot last year.....but if you had Goff as your QB, you'd be getting hurt a lot too.

I’d be surprised if he gets to 1000 and 5 TD’s. Nothing is going to fill that hole Hopkins left

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman won't be prosecuted after being cited by police for misdemeanor vandalism earlier this year, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. Chiefs | Ricky Seals-Jones officially signed
Updating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs TE Ricky Seals-Jones' contract was finalized Thursday, April 9, by the NFL.
Footballguys view: Seals-Jones has the basketball skill set to play 'above the rim' in the NFL, but he's never played up to his potential. He's a nice flier in dynasty formats just in case he ever gets a larger opportunity and on a team like the Chiefs that would be quite interesting.

NFL | Tua Tagovailoa works out on film
Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa (hip) participated in an hour-long workout with 55 scripted passes and another 20 throws in a 'dynamic drill setting' at a private Alabama gym Thursday, April 9. Fewer than 10 people were in attendance, and all of the necessary safety guidelines in relation to COVID-19 were followed. Tagovailoa's representatives said they will distribute the tape to all 32 NFL teams.
Footballguys view: Tagovailoa's agent, the great Leigh Steinberg, said that health concerns about his client were seriously overblown. Things seem to be well on track for the young passer as he comes back from the hip surgery that ended his college career. We think the Dolphins will do whatever it takes to get him in the first round, and we fully believe that Tagovailoa is going to be a top-5 pick in the 2020 NFL draft.

NFL | Zack Moss gets clean bill on knee health
Utah RB Zack Moss was given a clean bill of health from NFL teams after his knee was checked out following a 2018 surgery, according to Moss' agent, Jamal Tooson. The knee was a concern for not only NFL teams but Moss himself, and ESPN's Adam Schefter said this news is the 'best-case scenario' for Moss.
Footballguys view: Moss has serious skill to be a solid starter in the NFL. His injury history is likely to drop him to the third round of the 2020 NFL draft. However, Moss has power and determination as a runner that will serve him well in the pros. He wasn't used much as a receiver for the Utes, but Moss did catch 28 passes in 2019 for a healthy 13.9 yards per reception.

'I think Tyler Higbee did a phenomenal job, but I think Everett's a guy that I've got to do a better job of utilizing his skill set because he's a difference-maker. Playing largely with Stidham in last year's preseason, Meyers recorded 20 catches for 253 yards and two touchdowns.

Chargers | Austin Ekeler led in YPT
Los Angeles Chargers RB Austin Ekeler in 2019 led all running backs with an average of 6.9 yards per touch.
Footballguys view: Ekeler is dangerous in space and can make defenders look silly in the open field. With Melvin Gordon (Broncos) moving on in free agency, Ekeler gets a larger role with the Chargers for the 2020 season. He's a RB1 for Fantasy GMs, especially in PPR leagues.

NFL | Jonathan Taylor tops between tackles
Wisconsin RB and 2020 NFL Draft prospect Jonathan Taylor is Pro Football Focus' top-rated draft running back between the tackles.
Footballguys view: Taylor averaged around 6.5 yards per carry between the tackles in 2019. He is a powerful runner who is difficult to bring down when he builds a head of steam. Taylor is not experienced as a receiver out of the backfield and had four drops last year when the Badgers tried to throw to him more. We expect he'll be a late first-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft.

Falcons | Todd Gurley: No injury concerns
Atlanta Falcons RB Todd Gurley on Friday, April 10, said in a media conference call that he no concern about the knee issues that appeared to have hampered his production the past 18 months, stating 'I know I'm still that guy' who won the 2017 NFL Offensive Player of the Year award. 'Nothing is (given),' Gurley added. 'I don't care if you have 10 Pro Bowls or one Pro Bowl. You got to go in and work, that's just how the game goes. Obviously, I'll be able to come in and help those guys out but like I said [I'm going to] play my role, it's whatever the team need me to do at the end of the day. I know what I bring to the table, (I'm going to) come in, (I'm going to) work hard and help out the running back and they're going to help me out as well.'
Footballguys view: There are injury concerns and that's why he got a one-year, 'prove it' deal from the Falcons. The team should limit his workload to help keep him healthy for the 2020 season.

Atlanta Falcons RB Todd Gurley talked with the media Friday, April 10, via conference call. 'The way life is going right now, everybody is on load management,' Gurley said, adding that he is planning on discussing the team's usage intentions for him this offseason.
Footballguys view: Managing Gurley's workload just makes sense. He needs to stay healthy and produce as the lead back, but that doesn't mean he'll get the large workload he used to with the Rams. Expect the Falcons to add a running back in the 2020 NFL draft who could help share touches in the backfield this season.

Footballguys view: Dillon was a reserve player for the Bayou Bengals and should be a priority free agent after the 2020 NFL draft. He performed well during the week of practice for the East-West Shrine Bowl earlier this year, and certainly that 40-yard dash time will turn a lot of heads.

Updating previous reports, Los Angeles Rams WR Brandin Cooks was dealt to the Houston Texans Thursday, April 9, which reportedly left the Rams with a record amount of dead money for one season. The Rams will eat $21.8 million in dead money, which surpassed the $21.12 million the Pittsburgh Steelers owed for WR Antonio Brown's release.
Footballguys view: The Rams are paying a ton in dead money for this deal and by also releasing Todd Gurley. They are getting away from big/bad contracts but will have a hefty price to pay this season in dead money.

'In the late rounds, would it surprise me if he gets picked? Not at all,' Decosta said. 'I think he's smart, it won't be too big for him. He's been around the league because of his brother. He's got (an) advantage that a lot of guys don't have because he's at least had a glimmer of what it's like being in the NFL. I think he's going to prepare well. I think he's got a shot.'
