This will be the thread for my daily picks. I will post all my plays in here for the rest of the NHL season. This will make it easier to follow for anyone who chooses to. Will be making some picks today, doing research now.
Took a look at your sheet and man it looks good. I'm gonna tail you for a little bit and see what happens if that is ok with you. If it is thank you very much and hope we in some cash!
DET vs NASOver 5.5(+100)$100 to win $100
The last 5 meetings have all gone over the total and the over is 5-2-1 in the last 8 meetings in Nashville. The loss of Kronwall hurts the Wings defensively and the Preds have been rolling lately and should have no problem hanging with the Wings tonight.
BOS vs STLOver 5(-125)$125 to win $100
The over is 3-1-1 in the last 5 meetings and with the return of Marc Savard I expect Boston to get their offense going again. The Blues have been scoring a bit more as of late so I am taking the over.

By all means but just remember there will be ups and downs, don't overextend yourself.
Right on. Well I broke even, decent first day back. Few picks I was leaning I wish I did. Liked PIT and the over in COL/PHI. Didn't wanna go too nuts the first day back though
What are you thinking about tonight, DG? (Glad to see you're back, by the way. I had just joined this forum when you sort of "disappeared" -- vacation, I think? -- and I feel like I've learned so much since then. Of course, always more to learn!)
Casey Price has been too hot lately for me not to lean towards Montreal. He hasn't given up more than 2 goals in his last 5 starts, and has a 1.94 GAA in his last 7 starts (4-2-1).
While Columbus can score, they're having some goaltender issues themselves and Garon has been up and down (won against Edmonton and Anaheim with about a 2 GAA -- doesn't impress me much -- and lost to Detroit, Rangers with about a 5 GAA).

Yup I was on vacation, I'm back now Hmm this is a tough one to figure out but I am leaning towards the over. CBJ is 10-2 for the over on the road this year and seemingly can't stop the puck from going into their net. If I had to choose a side it would be MTL, CBJ is just a mess right now. I probably will pass on this one and wait for tomorrow's packed slate of games.
Haha - ain't that the truth. I got Montreal at -130 so I won that one and I should have listened to you about the over (I didn't bet O/U tonight!). Good hypothetical bet, DG!
LOL I am the hypothetical betting champion of the world. Well at least you cashed, good work
TOR vs TBUnder 6(-115) $115 to win $100
With Gustavsson and Niitymaki in goal tonight I like the under. Both have been solid this year and have won the starter's roll for their respective clubs. Both goalies put on a show earlier this month in a 2-1 TB final. Under is 5-2-1 in the last 8 meetings in Tampa as well.
PHI(-137)over NYI$137 to win $100
Although the Flyers have a few significant injuries they are still solid up front with the likes of Carter, Hartnell and Richards. The main reason I like this game so much is because of the Flyers absolute dominance over the Isles. They are 10-0 in the last 10 meetings, including 5-0 in Long Island during that stretch. Philly is currently on a 3 game losing streak equaling their longest slide of the year so I like them to rebound tonight.
STL vs DALOver 5(-125)$125 to win $100
Low line for this one which is surprising considering Conklin gets the call for STL. He is a solid backup but he hasn't played in 17 days so there is bound to be a bit of rust. Over is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings and 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in DAL. These rivals usually have pretty chippy and heated games which results in a lot of PP's another reason I like the over.
