Thursday. Tampa really stinking up the place.

hopefully back to the winning ways after the Blues and Wild cashed.

My best bet of the day is LA in Edmonton over. The problem for Edmonton so far is their slow starts. Playing at home will change things I think and propel the Oilers to a win at home. I took LA to win the series but if the Oilers are to have a chance, they need to win game three. 7-3 Oilers.

    Oilers -1.5 +184

Washington / Montreal: Going with the home team after two real close games in DC. Habs 3-2.

Carolina in NJ: Carolina looked much better and they are favored in game 3 for a reason. If teh Devils are gonna win a game in the series it will be this one and then proceed to lose the next 2. Taking a shot on the home dog. Devils 4-2

Canadiens / Capitals: Habs were the better team the entire 3rd and erased the 2 goal deficit. I am guessing they will even the series at 1-1. Montreal 3-2.
    Habs +159

Dallas / Colorado: Dallas were less than 10 minutes away from their 9th straight loss in game two. Jason Robertson won't play but Mikko Rantanen will for the Stars. Landeskog (remember him?) has a good chance to make his season debut on for Game 3. Avs 5-2.

Oilers / Kings: Edmonton looked slow for most of the first two periods in game one. Then McDavid took over. Oilers needed a couple minutes longer and they would have won game one. Which Oilers team will show up in game two? Evander Kane (who has missed the entire season ) is a possibility to return for Game 2. This is bad news for LA. Oilers 5-3

I know my luck will eventually run out, but until then ...

Montreal Canadiens -Washington Capitals: The Habs are loaded with tons of young talent. They could be one of the top teams in the East for years to come. Are they ready to compete for the CUP this season? Probably not this year. Logan THompson might not be ready for game 1 and Protas is out. If Montreal can win this one, they can make it a series. Habs 5-4.
    Over 6 -110
    Montreal Canadiens +163

Edmonton Oilers - Los Angeles Kings: Here we go again. 4th year in a row they face each other in round one. This is probably the best Kings team the Oilers have face in the last 4 years. Slight edge to LA in the Goaltending department but the Oilers top 2 guys are 2 of the best. Evander Kane looks like he will play later in the series. The Kings need to get off to a good start. 6-4 Kings.
    Over 5.5 -105
    Over 6.5 +135
    First Period Over 1.5-105

Colorado Avalanche vs Dallas Stars: Dallas has now lost 8 games in a row, including blowing a 3 goal lead with exactly 1 minute to go against Vancouver. Stars played well in game one and surely they won't lose both home games and 9 in a row. Avs 4-3 in OT.
    o6-123
    Colorado -144
    Colorado Avalanche - Over 3.5 +105
St. Louis Blues - Winnipeg Jets: The Jets are my prediction to win the Cup this year. No reason to question that after game one. Jets 5-2.

    Canes 1.5 +133
    Carolina Hurricanes - Over3.5 +120
Ottawa vs Toronto: This will be a war. Toronto is one of the hottest teams heading into the playoff, probably the best goalie duo in the league, and are at home. This is their year to get to the finals. Leafs 4 Sens 2.
    Leafs -165
    Leafs -1.5 +163

haha not JUST lucky of course, but if you bet long enough you will need some luck along the way no matter how well you handicapped the game. Goodness knows, you'll get your fair share of unlucky breaks and bad beats.

3 hottest teams in the last month of the season were ... St Louis, Toronto and Vegas.

Blues vs The President's Trophy Winners: This Winnipeg team has had some really good seasons last few years only to go out early in the playoffs. Now they get the red hot Blues in the first round. Jets have the best goalie in the NHL. 4-2 Winnipeg.

thanks. Really blew the Sens game but you can't win em all, even though I sure as hell try.

Ya I will be posting in the playoffs. Can't wait.

the first round of the NHL playoffs is tough and could be according to plan or there could be a few surprises. There will be one or two for sure.

Washington losing their starting goalie saying he may "miss some time" is interesting. Lindgren is of but he's no Logan Thompson? Can the Habs keep up with them?

OIlers getting Kane back for the playoffs could be huge? is Draisaitl gonna he healthily? Ekholm looks like he's done for teh year.Is their goaltending good enough?

Do the Avs have the goaltending? Gabriel Landeskog rejoined the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday and could play in Game 1 will be interesting. How bad is Robertson's injury?

Are the Blues really as good as they were the last month of the season? Are the injuries enough to screw up the Jets again or is this the year they finally go deep?

The Leafs probably have the best goalie duo in the NHL and will their stars finally shine? Sens finally have a good goalie.

How bad with Florida miss Tkachuk in the playoffs. Is Marchand gonna be able to step in?

    Should be fun.
