    Learning Horse racing betting
I just got interested in horse racing(gambling). I've been hanging out at my sportsbook with a friend who is into it($100 each to show on 20 races). What is the best way to handicap races?? There are so many racetracks and so many races going on. My friend hangs out at the sportsbook from noon to 7:00. I'm married so I can't do that and learn.

Thanks for the help ahead of time.

    1. If your friend has $2,000 for his daily horse racing wagering bankroll, he can do far better with Exacta Key and Exacta Box bets.

    2. There is so much info out there. Start with VegasDave's videos (I guess they are on YouTube) to get started with understanding the parimutuel system, etc., and the factors that go into handicapping (class, speed (obv), past performance, current form (fitness, ready-to-race)).

Learn how to read the Daily Facing Form, and watch races — not just who's leading, but why the races unfold the way they do.

Soon enough, you'll begin to understand why certain horses are favorites and why others have little chance. That'll allow you to think about the logical places to put your money.

      Good luck.

Don't look for winners. Look for value.
