CD Race 11

I llike the 2- Grand Sonata; I think the odd will go down , like 9-5. I think he is the horse to beat. Second off a short lay off; has the class and tactical speed. He is by Medaglia d’Oro which is one of more influential turf sires. I love it Tyler rides for Pletcher on turf. I think to make some money in this race is finding the long shots that is gonna be underneath. That’s just my two cents.

A large field of 10, so I think speed should be crucial to get in position. The 5 is first try on turf, she has shown speed on dirt so I expect that speed to carryover on turf. She is out Speighstown which I love for turf sprinting. Calhoun has good numbers on turf and overall stats. I’m hoping to get odds around the ML.

Claimed by Linda Rice for $50K last Nov and he’s been on the shelf since. Although she doesn’t have good numbers for +180 days, but he is by Empire Maker and don’t see any monster here. Last time ran second; and the show horse came back to win. First time gelding and first time turf; ML at 10-1; Beyers are competitive in this field. So gonna take a shot.

Big turf racing today at Belmont.

Race 7: The Belmont Oaks Invitational 1 1/4

Gonna try to beat the Euro's with the 6- New Year's Eve (ML 6-1); was very impressed with how she won the last start. A little time off, with a bullet workout. Just by looking at the ML, to me, linemaker is not too impressed with the euros either.

Race 9- The Belmont Derby Invitational 1 1/2
Again, gonna try to beat the Euros again. Gonna play the 3- Napoleonic War (ML 10-1); he is out of War Front, damn is out Street Cry, turf and distance should not be a problem. Lightly race and has improved with each race on the Beyer. Has tactical speed and at ML 10-1 trained by Chad, why not? Only thing is I can't stand Prat.....
