I am on the east coast and have a dear friend near Del Mar. Considering possibly making the trip out and possibly attending. Wondering how busy and consequently comfortable Del Mar is. I will need to sit throughout.

I don't know but maybe visit the Delmar website and see if they speak to all that they offer. I know you know to grade it with a curve but maybe they have areas that cater to certain situations. Or goggle Delmar and add specific situations and see what you can find. And if all else fails, call them on the phone and ask for hospitality or general information. They should have someone there that can definitely help you figure this out. Someone is getting a paycheck to help answer all your questions about this kind of thing.
