Thanks J. Should have used this method in my formative years, often ran out- like my horses- before the last race of funds.

reason I do it this way is I don't want to have to look over a whole card for a best bet..there was a theory I remember from way back ( before simulcasting) that there's value with lower odds horses in last races because people who are down for the day will be going for big odds to "get out"..thought that made some sense in general but less likely to mean anything with the modern game imo

it's not realistic for most .. if you want to play the races just looking at the last race not going to be enough..if you can manage most of the time
spend more time on the race (doesn't necessarily mean it's a good play)
they are usually low-middle level races with larger fields that are good to cap
magnifies the feeling of a good effort..if you miss ,well you only played one and if it was mid-high odds even more reason to not feel so bad ..a psychological edge imo

Trust is a must, or your game is a bust.
And it's nice to be important, but it's important to be nice.
Best o' luck to you and to Mr. JBEX.
That Mr. JBEX really knows his ponies.
I've said this before, you guys in the horse section are amongst the best we have here.
You guys truly are a moderator's dream, you all police yourselves, you all are knowledgeable.
A dream I tell ya' what.
