    how to win at races
ok way differnt harness and thourobreds but omg the biggest killer is winds

a 10 mph head wind will kill all front runners in both types of races the closers wind up running them down always

one harness track balmoral in chicago wow i won 9 races out of 10 srachting every front runner

like you see this 1st 1st by 5 lengths 1st by 10 lenghts then all of a suddden looks like they are on a tread mill after turn to home wind up losing finsih 9th or worse

same in the througho braeds basically you want your horses outside not on the rail where track is faster the rail parts are usally deep soft and horses with big hooves are dead meat

if track is rain soaked or muddy go for horses with small hooves the big hooves are like suction cups even in dry conditions

go through each horses last race if they were winning by 10 lenghts but close winning by 1 lenght thats minus 9 lenghths in other words no heart and you do not need to win the race to win money how many times you see a chalk win huge that was 3/5 and bam 2nd place longhshot 15-1 comes in pays $12 to place $6 to show

basically you want horses that earn money over 6 races using a calcualtor will give you a number on each horse
if a horse is not eraning his keep for owner trainer then you do not want to bet that horse.
every race has 4 contenders period.

let me give example horse gets 300 points for evry 1st 100 points for every 2nd and 50 points for each 3rd added to his money won

    OK horse A raced in ten races earned $8000 = $800 per race had 2 wins 3 2nd's 2 3r ds 600 + 300 + 100 == 1000

    added to $800 = $1800

    horse B raced in 6 races Earned 7000 $ ='s 1167 per race had 1 win 300 2 nds 200 1 3rd 50 = 600

    1167 +600 = 1767 rating i call power rating but this horse odds 6-1 the A horse was 3-1

    horse C ran in 8 races earned 6000 = $750 1 win 2 nds 3 3rds 300 200 + 150 = 650 = 1350 pr

    horse D ran in 6 races the minimum required won 4000 = 667$ per race no wins 3 2nds = 300 1 3rd 50 PR is 1017

so use your exoctics with these 4 even for fun watch how many times they run 1 2 3 4 in order

and do not wager n short chalks 1/5 2/5 even 1/9 i seen get hammered by a 3-1 imagine you bet a 1/9 $90 to win $10 when you could bet the 3-1 for way less like $20 and win $60

yes i know the kentucky derby is coming up and i never ever won any

every track has biases like maybe post 6 is great in short races winning 4 out 8 races

it's not as strong as it used to be i remember fri nights or saturday nights trying to find a parking space at local otb

and you better get in line 5 mins before race goes off cost me dearly got shut out on a long shot i selected 50-1 who won going away vs a bunch of losers

was fuming but won next 3 races on nice priced horses 3-1 5-1 2-1

in short just bet the 1 horse you like stay away from exactas trifectas and superfectas

i hear guys crying all the time damn i had it but that 2nd place horse died and you him tear up his tickets

i asked how much you bet on exacta he said $50 and i said the winner was what 2-1 right yes so if you bet the winner you would have won $100

      Thanks Bill.

If you would like to better understand why these things like biases, wind direction, etc. occur or apply simply go to my questions and answers thread and enter bias or whatever key word through the search thread box. It will take you many years of explanations.
      Hope it helps.
      Al the best.
