Curious if the online books are truly booking the action or if they are just laying them off through the track?

most books i know dont book through the tote. So if you can find a book that will give you a 10 k bet at a small track you wont affect the odds. On the flip side most wont pay track odds or will up to a certain amount. some books are better then others. In the usa online places like tvg,twinspires and others do affect the odds and are connected to tote

i had afriend,who has since passed,that bet $200 to $800 show bets on dog races through an offshore account.when h started winning a lot more often than usual,they did,nt shut him off,but,instead made him bet the dog across the board.he made smaller across the board bets,then pulled out his money.then cancer kicked his ass,and,it was all over.
