I am really excited to see what these extra laps from the ARCA race do to the track. The truck race is usually a one-groove race until very late in the race, if at all, because the track is so green, but tonight should be different.

If you started at $100,000, you’d still be further away than your $50k is to $100k.

Let me add this since we are on the topic. It may not be obvious at first glance, but Sam has been with JRM for a while now. JRM and GMS have built a late model development program and guys like Sam and Zane have come through that program. Look what it did for Sam: 2 straight ARCA East championships and that big Bristol truck win last season. It was hard for them to cut ties with JRM after that shared success.

The other factor (which I completely disagree with) is that they felt Ford didn’t have enough rides at the Cup level. They were looking that far ahead instead of worrying about winning now. Winning and strong runs take care of everything. Harrison Burton, a Toyota kid, will be running a Ford next season in Cup.

It’s a crazy sport. Money is everything. There are some exceptions, but they are few and far between.

Oh, and the answer is $175k. When the transmission failed and when he wrecked with Chase Elliot, the price didn’t change.
