Took SVG for Cup at +1000. I wasn't planning on taking him since I think the playoff cup guys will race him super aggressively but 10/1 was too good to pass up imo.

Agree it's good odds but also think he will play it cool so as not to affect the cup playoffs.

Best I can get is +775 down here.

sounds like tire saving will be key this weekend, with the new, less durable right sides. How much of a factor is it in Supercars?

Too much. Shane says that is a part of the reason he looked at leaving the series.

He was one of the best at making tires last though.

He also says the Xfinity cars are more fun than Cup cars due to the Cup cars being a bit like Supercars tire saving wise.

thanks, sounds promising indeed then, if he can translate it to this style of racing.

Should be an interesting weekend in general, also in regards to odds movement before/after quali.

If there is one track where SVG’s technical advantage is somewhat neutralized, it’s this one, right? There’s a reason why drivers call The Glenn the superspeedway of road courses.

I'd think he has less advantage than somewhere like Chicago or Sonoma, mostly because more regulars are able to run the same sort of times as him consistently.

Not betting against him still though

Wish I could have some 10/1

Yeah, that’s the rub. Who wants to bet against him?

I think I will wait until after practice and qualifying and see how everyone else goes.

Can't see him being much worse than +750 in a cup chase race even if he does pole it, which really isn't his strong suit as well.
