I agree with it based on what he did in the regular season. However, he sure didn't look like an MVP during the playoffs when it actually counts.

I don't have a problem with him getting the award. He was the best player on the best team during the regular season. Obviously, if the playoffs were taken into account, it would be a different story, but because it's a regular season award, I think Dirk is deserving.

I agree with both you guys he played great during the regular season and played on the best team Nash didn't do anything outstanding enough to deserve a 3rd in a row and Dirk has been 2nd to many times not to finally get it.

The fact that Dirk & his Mavs got upset by Golden State doesn't diminish his regular season accomplishments. Don't forget the Mavs made history by becoming the 1st NBA team to win 10 or more consecutive times on 3 different occasions during the season.

Dirk is not even in my top ten. He's a fadeaway jump shooter and that's about it. He doesn't make the players around him better, and is definitely not clutch.
