I don't consider the 2010 NCAA final four 'just' average
I believe we have 4 very solid fundamental hoop teams which deserve to be where they are. The consensus news scene seems to think that because of upsets that the tourney was average. It seems the majority wanted to see 4 #1 seeds this weekend. These 4 teams (UWV, Duke, Butler and MSU) play SOLID basketball, the way I personally like to see it played and I am excited about the match ups. That's just my opinion. Maybe it furthers my case concerning my lack of sanity?

i'm thrilled for the Final Four. haven't had the best tourney, wager-wise or bracket-wise, but as a college hoops fan, this has been an outstanding tournament. diehard college hoops fans aren't complaining about the Final Four, casual fans are, and i'm not all that concerned with what they want. they can go watch the NBA.

I'm looking forward to the games and holding slim hope of being there in person Saturday night.

In my opinion, this has been the most exciting tournament I have ever seen. Definitely one for the ages.

Will Spartans be favored by tip-off? Butler a 1 point favorite current.

hey, that's awesome, General - hope that it works out for you and you get into the game. what a thrill that would be.

my wife's niece goes to Butler and apparently got good seats through whatever lottery system they have for tickets, and it sounds like the biggest thing that's ever hit that campus. as a W&M alum, i'll always vicariously live through stories like that. well, always until the tourney expands and W&M gets in but without it meaning as much.

Hey Biff. No doubt, the city of Indianapolis and State of Indiana for the most part is in waiting to roar loudly on Saturday when the Bulldogs take court. I am still waiting final verdict on tickets. My friend who brought it up usually gets the tickets from an associate of the NCAA he knows. In the past they have gotten front row seats. I was told a real good chance a month ago, but it's silent right now so my hopes are diminishing. In thinking about the crowd involved, I can do with or without and due to a family crisis currently I am unsure I can get away for the event anyhow.

Time will tell if it is meant to be.

As for the Butler Bulldogs what a story they could be if somehow they pulled this thing off. Less than 4k full time students with a 33 yr old head coach. I'm not necessarily a true Butler fan, but think I'd feel the same way if it were any school similar in stature across the country.

                Take care

I agree with you General, you don't get to the final four on luck alone.

Btw this tourny has been awesome and whoever has said differently hasn't actually been paying attention.

Thanks Biff. I will know by noon tomorrow if the tickets are a go and now feel 67.81% sure we'll have them. These seats are real close to the court behind one of the baskets it appears.

I think there are interesting match ups on both sides. It will only be a successful Final Four if Duke does not win though
