You know I hate Alabama, but I would be surprised if they lost this game.

Well, I don't really understand your question, but I am assuming you are asking why I dislike Alabama so much.

It's really not even the institution of the University of Alabama that I am against, it is the people that support them and their ignorance. They always look to the past, act like Bear Bryant (pruneface) was a god, state that it's not debatable that he is the greatest coach off all time, which I disagree with. They also claim 12 football national titles, when no one with half a brain credits them with more than 6.
The Bammer mindset - At an Auburn/Alabama game in Tuscaloosa a couple years ago, Bear Bryant's shriveled face and clown hat were on the ticket. Now, some may say that's understandable, as he was unquestionaly a great coach. But, could you imagine Oklahoma putting Bud Wilkinson on a ticket, or Notre Dame doing the same for Knute Rockne? Against their biggest rival, no less.
They also are drunk, classless idiots, who think that everyone is against them. The NCAA is after them, according to Bammers. Well, a program who's greatest tradition is buying players should be investigated routinely. Also, attending the Auburn/Alabama game a couple weeks ago, Bammers were arguing every call, and accused Auburn of cheating. Well, Auburn was called for 12 more fouls in that game.
In conclusion, I really don't have a problem with anyone at the University of Alabama, it's just that the majority of their fans are ignorant Philistines who never attended UA, and don't know of any building at the school except Bryant-Denny Stadium and Coleman Coliseum.

It would almost be worth losing my bet on Alabama in this game just to extract a measure of sadness in Bammer nation.

No offense, but it is a big mistake to back Marquette here. Alabama is the more experienced team, they have the best point guard in the nation - no one will agree with this, but it's true (I would love to see Steele and Farmar match up in the second round) - and they will outrebound Marquette badly.
Marquette backers only hope is that Novak goes something like 7-9 from 3-pt. range. I consider myself to have a very good grasp on Alabama's team, and my line vs. the Vegas line on this game is actually the most lopsided of any on the board. I have Alabama a 4.5 point favorite.
