The Big 10 is evidence that the RPI is leaned on too heavily by pundits and committees and assclowns that follow NCAA Basketball. For seeding purposes the Committee very closely followed RPI rankings and I think that was where most of the errors in this year's tournament were made.

I know this might not be a very popular conference to vote as overrated but what about the PAC-10. They got in 4 teams despite being down. UCLA earned respect. Not 7th in the nation though. Washington is overrated, Arizona to me is like Syracuse without the conference tournament run so I think they were lucky to get a 9 seed and Cal rounded off their tournament roster. Cal went out first round, Zona in the second round. UCLA got a nice draw and Washington beat a struggling Illinois team. Overrated, YES. Declining, YES. Most overrated, Up for debate. As a huge Big Ten fan, I am able to admit how overrated they were. The big Ten was soft this year, and I thought the tourney made that evident. After Indiana and Illinois fell on Saturday, I knew that the Bucks would probably fall on Sunday. isetcap you were right, I was wrong.Comment -
