How to be a Pro member?
Hey guys, I just tried buying something from the SBR store, but was told I needed to be a SBR pro in order to do so, I read that you can do it by charity donations. Is this true? And if so, how many donations?

If you're in the US you can use them to purchase merchandise in the Store. If you're outside of the US you can use them to purchase sportsbook cash.

All the information on how you benefit is in the link JuicedUp posted above.

Membership is normally a $200 donation - for 2014 it's $100 so you're actually getting a deal if you sign up soon. You have to renew each year because SBR isn't running a charity. The hundreds of dollars of value - and then some if you go to the SBR Bash - is more than enough for most people to see why it's worth it. As for betting real money: No you can't do that here. SBR runs a Betpoints sportsbook only and cash transactions aren't permitted anywhere on the forum.

Admin Shari, so I have over 10,000 points and was hoping to get the beats by dre prize with my points, is it true that I'll be losing 7000 points if I became a pro member, and did all the points I ended up working to get essentially have no value? I'd love for those points to go somewhere, even if it's just additional charity money.

That is correct. Non pros turning to pros can only carry over 3,000 points. Anything over 3,000 is removed from your account.

Hurry and turn Pro before you accumulate any more.

                    Good Luck

You can bet betpoints which you can use in the store to purchase giftcards and prizes from a variety of food and retail stores. Right now 2950 gets you a $100 gift card from Target and who doesn't shop at Target?

However, if you do not eat, shop or have any desire for prizes such as IPADs then you are correct and SBR Pro will have limited options for you.

Anyone could help me with my pro status? I sent application 12 days ago (joined Will Hill), but still no confirmation (it is supposedly 2-4 days). My membership expires in 3 days, and I have not had any answer to my recent messages and emails. I own over 50,000 points, so I would not like to loss over 47000 points for a delay on SBR side.

Sometimes people make fun of me because I'm not a Pro. It hurts my feelings. Does SBR have counseling available for such issues?
