Explain: Why so Many Hate the Cowboys

Can someone please explain to me maybe a more knowledgable elder folk. From a non-biased opinion. I was very young in the 90's watching my team (Cowboys) play in multiple superbowls (MY father is the real reason im a fan going back to the staubach days.) But anyway where has/did all the hatred come from on the Cowboys? Is it money? (I know most people hate the Yankees and other teams due to high payroll "buy your team" etc. Management? (To me this is probably a big factor as Jerry Jones is not a liked man, including myself. He is strictly business). Is it the title "Americas Team" which clearly is not even close to being the case anymore? Is it Jerry Jones outrageous marketing schemes and business startegies that get under peoples skins? Is it the jealousy of Super Bowl's? I mean realistically Cowboys have not been a threat in the NFL for over 10+ yrs.

So I was just wondering where all the hatred comes toward the Cowboys. I like constructive critisism. I feel I was too young to fully undertand the happennings around the NFL at my early age, but I feel like a lot of the negative energy/hate comes from the 90's........ WTf happened lol.

But to me thats somewhat inspiring... I mean its hard to generalize a WHOLE fanbase. But the fact that we havent been a threat in 10+ years and still have pride is a plus. It's not like we are talking shit saying we are the best yadda yadda yadda. We are well aware we have been a sub par team. You guys may have had other negative experiences from Cowboys fans I'm sure, but I feel like the hatred may be blown a bit out of proportion or lets say "Outdated"...

I would like to get some other opinions. Driving factors to me is people hate Jerry Jones (me included). But there HAS to be more to it! I'm missing something here. I'd say envy but that shipped sailed long ago in the 90's.

FANS, correct. I cannot stand them.. I use to think Giants fan were annoying(they are, a lot) but damnit lately the Cowboys fans won't stfu.. and all of them think they are so good..only positive I get is betting against them with my Cowboy friends. Cannot stand to watch them play though

..slightly biased, Eagles fan :/ CHIP,CHIP,CHIPADELPHIA!

p.s. Packers are America's team.. have you seen commercials lately

Jerry Jones = Marketing which means $, guy is pure business (So whether Cowboys suck or not, he will find a way to publicize and market his team, which I see can get Very Very annoying, and it is)
Americas Team = Packers I agree

NotE: I can see why divisional Rivals (Hence father and dirty bird commenting, and I appreciate the repsonse) Most divisional rivals SHOULd hate each other lol. Are there any other fans out there in other divisions, with opinions. I see this going far beyond our division.

Dont get me wrong I kind of like being the hate team Just want to see why and where it comes form.
