The Arizona Cardinals (2-2) host the New Orleans Saints (3-1) Week 5
MY RECORD AFTER 4TH WEEK OF NFL INCLUDING A THURSDAY NIGHTGAME 3-1-1
WELL LAST WEEK REALLY HURT ME GOING INTO PRESS AND TAKING MIAMI DOLPHINS
[.However we still got full season to go .This week I,am back to square One. I will say this?? When I lose a bet....I lose big in both spots>> Press and Game.. well its my 1st lose and it hurts Ladies & Gentlemen]

I bet one game A week, [Some exceptions applied Monday & Thursday Night games] I never bet spreads over 10, Never a road team, getting 7 more points, Never home steam giving up 7 more points I work off a spread sheet, Weather, injures, Power ratings, Defense and Offence analyzes, Team coaches comparisons My Betting Style>> Press one time on 2nd win,[Iam pressing this week after a win from last week] I will go back to a Original bet after the press Win Or Lose... One Bet at time ...You can't win? if you don,t press once ???[ I wonder who said that ??//lol] More Bets You Make in any given week of play, like ...Parlays,Over and under's on a game with the a team?? or whatever??with These Bookmakers .. Your percentage to win is cut in half

The Cardinals now have a quarterback controversy, with Derek Anderson pulled in the last game in favor of unproven Max Hall. Coach Whisenhunt is not saying who will start, but when you listen to him, you begin to sense he is grasping the enormity and possible futility on their future prospects this season. The lack of stability underlines the issues on this team. The Saints’ rushing offense ranks 30th in the league and Reggie Bush is out with a broken leg and Pierre Thomas may miss the game with an ankle injury. Still, no matter who runs the ball for the Saints they will likely be successful facing a Cardinals’ run defense that is giving up the 3rd most rushing yards per game in the league. Hightower and Wells are the key to the game, as if they can run the ball it will take a lot of pressure of Hall and it will keep Brees on the sidelines. .Let’s do some comparing between the Saints and Cardinals ...*Stats* provided by:Legendary handicapping By Mellow Rose 4 (((( The BlueCard }} System Smitty Ryan II [LasVegas N.V.] & JJ Bacus[Reno N.V].................................
    Points scored/allowed: Saints (79/72), Cardinals (58/118)
    Sacked/yards lost: Saints (7/48), Cardinals (15/129)
Yards per game: Saints (344.0), Cardinals (249.0)
Yards per game allowed: Saints (334.5), Cardinals (388.0)
Turnover margin: Saints (plus-2), Cardinals (minus-6)

A KEY NOTE>>> The good news for the Saints on Thursday is that no new players were added to the injury report. The bad news – no one has been removed.Running back Pierre Thomas remains out with an ankle sprain that happened at the end of the Falcons game on Sept. 26 and defensive end Will Smith remains sidelined with a groin injury.Smith’s status could change by gameday,The Saints, who are among the league's worst rushing teams with 73.2 yards per game, will be without Reggie Bush (fractured right fibula) for at least a few more weeks, while Pierre Thomas could miss a second straight game with a sprained left ankle If Thomas is sidelined, Ladell Betts and rookie Christopher Ivory will likely get the majority of carries against a Cardinals defense allowing an NFC-worst 154.8 rushing yards per game The two combined for 114 rushing yards last weekend, with Betts running for 47 and catching four passes for 23 yards in his first action since tearing two knee ligaments in November *Stats* provided by:Legendary handicapping By Mellow Rose 4 (((( The BlueCard }} System Smitty Ryan II [LasVegas N.V.] & JJ Bacus[Reno N.V].................................

MY ANALYSIS OF THE GAME & PREDICTION............................
The Cardinals’ D defiantly have to play better this Sunday than they did last Sunday when they gave up 419 total yards (239 passing yards180 rushing yards) to the ChargersThe personnel losses have begun to show. As if it weren’t enough to lose Kurt Warner and Anquan Boldin on offense and Carlos Dansby and Antrel Rolle on defense, the Cardinals are now facing the injury bug.Receivers Early Doucet and Steve Breaston are out. Defenses can now concentrate on Larry Fitzgerald who,as a result,is not nearly as effective
I think it’s time for a little breakout performance by the Saints against a Cardinals team that may be settling into a rough patch. Look for a Saints surge in the second half to enable them to get the cover.Take the Saints minus -6 1/2 points.A struggling offense, a struggling defense, and a new starting QB generally does not lead to success and it will not in this game either,as the Saints will easily win this game and cover the spread. SAINTS, 27-13
    SAINTS MINUS -6 1/2 points

Good luck, nice write up. This is actually a no-play for me, I think the Cardinals could play very hard at home after that embarassing loss to the Chargers.

Less than two months ago I was at the Cardinals training camp. Offense against defense. Leinart looked boring, Anderson a little better, but the one QB that stood out was number 6. Max Hall. He lit up the field. The other QB's drives sputtered, but Hall threw it down the field with authority. I walked away that night thinking that I had seen the future Arizona QB. Be careful what you wish for... Hall is a fast learner, and has a great arm, but it will take him a few games to learn the ropes. Defenses will throw things at him that he's never seen. First game as a starter against the reigning champions?

The Cards are rebuilding. They're not going anywhere this year, because it takes time to rebuild. Ever since halftime of the playoff game against Greenbay the defense has been horrible. They took a 31-10 lead with about 26 minutes left to play. In the remaining time they gave up 35 pts... They won the game in OT, but the secret was out. A week later the Saints torched the defense for another 45 pts. They never got their groove back.

Four weeks into the new season the Cards have added two more games in which they gave up more than 40 pts. That's a much bigger problem than the QB controversy. It means that they're not learning the lessons and keep making the same mistakes. Without Dansby and Rolle they're still looking for leadership. The defense has been especially terrible against good passing teams, and I believe the team coming to town qualifies as such...

A lot of adjusting going on all over this Cardinals team. Not the best situation for Hall to get his first start, with an O-line that is very shaky. The Cards can live with a loss here. They want to see progress. At this point that is good enough. The one positive I'm taking from the team is that they're going about the rebuilding process in the right way. I'll be rooting for Hall soon enough. Just not this Sunday.

              Saints cover.

The Saints dominated the Cardinals with Kurt Warner in that playoffs last season.
Imagine the Cardinals without Kurt Warner.
But the Cardinals does have home advantage, but I don't think it's enough to win.

MY ANALYSIS OF THE GAME & PREDICTION UPDATED OCT 9 2010>>> Arizona barely beat two of the worst teams in the league, and were absolutely crushed by two of the better ones. I would say an upset would be nothing more than 10-1 shot Even if their banged up secondary was abused by Hall (very unlikely still) what in the world makes you believe the Cardinals can stop the New Orleans offense? Bush is a very small piece of that puzzle.I would see a Cardinal lose as a HUGE 10+ mores points being very concertive at this point.Yet nearly impossible for Cardinals defence to stop Drew Brees [Saints: 15th in points, 12 in yards, 5th in passing yd Cardinals: 29th in points, 31st in yards, 29th in passing yds.The Saints have a very formidable defensive front[ awesome strength, size up front]..... Hall was sacked six times last week getting a lot of playing time aganst the Chargers.I don't see that trend stopping against New Orleans. From what I have seen so far the 0-line is Arizonas glaring weakness, and perhaps that has affected their other weakness,QB play.

Even without Pierre and Reggie, the Saints running game isn't that bad. Ivory and Betts did a pretty decent job running against the Panthers, and they played with a lot of energy. I was impressed by both, kind of like Mike Bell last year when given the chance to be an impact player. I just don't see how the Cards can stop this offense, other than DRC. He is a great athlete, but he can't cover all of the Saints weapons. I think the Saints win this in a blowout, but Vegas is keeping people from betting the Saints by keeping the line at 6.5. Reverse psychology? Fake trap? Who knows. But the Saints are by far the better team here. And if not for 2 fumbles deep in Panthers territory, the Saints win last week by double digits EASILY. I'm not banking on those same mistakes against a weak Arizona team. Saints cover the spread, and win by 17+

new orleans hasn't won a game by more than 5 points all year, and that was the first game of the season (and it should have been a 4 point win). arizona's bad enough that i don't know whether or not i can bring myself to play them, but this would definitely be the spot after a blowout road loss against a team who hasn't had a convincing win yet this season.

Steve Merril – This guy is an NFL handicapping expert who has won tons of money for his clients. He gets his information out early as well and is selective about the number of games he goes after RAVENS -10 The spread is -7

Rocky Atkinson When it comes to being selective this guy tops them all, rarely playing a Monday night game and sometimes even passing on Sunday. He simply isn’t going to tell you to put your money down on a game unless he is sure that the NFL odds are in your favor. TAKE RAVENS -10 the spread is -7 or 6 1/2 & SAINTS -9 the spread is-7

Jeff Alexander This guy can have his ups and downs but he’s been in the top 5 of the season-ending leaderboard four out of the five years I have been paying attention to him. He’s kind of a big game expert, meaning that his top plays on the weekend are the ones you really need to go after, but I wouldn’t shy away from his 3* and 4* plays either. When this guy gets hot there is nobody in the world that can keep up with him, including myself. LOVES THE RAVENS IN BLOW-OUT + 14 OR MORE

Like Jeff he really goes after the big play on Sunday, but he hits everything he puts out and the analysis that backs all of his selections will leave you confident in every team recommends .BILLS+1 and SAINTS -7

Matt FargoThis guy is Mr. Analysis and goes into very deep detail with each of his selections. He was the top handicapper a year ago but is ranked down here since I don’t know how he has done in years past. Obviously someone to look out for if he starts out as hot as he ended 2008.TAKE RAVENS -7 & BILLS +1 & SAINTS -7 and DOUBLE DIP ON MONEY LINE WITH THE BILLS_
