they only do stuff live that's not nationally televised in US. Playoffs are nationally televised, sunday night baseball is, a lot of saturday games, etc.
you can watch the games on replay though if you'd like.

Im pretty sure the International subscribers get the playoffs included in their package. I thought I read that somewhere. Im just gonna wait for the Post Season package to but that. It better not be blacked out in San Francisco though. Since I live in SF the Oakland and Giant games better be in the package.

almost certain they are going to be blacked out. there is actually a law suit going to be heard soon over this exact issue.

Like I posted above, mlb.tv blacks out stuff that is available on TV in your market, even if it's cable.
So everyone gets blacked out of the teams in their area, and anything nationally televised is blacked out for everyone. Since the playoffs are nationally televised, mlb.tv doesn't do you much good.
If you don't have the channels (TNT/TBS usually has a lot of it) then you have to find streams online, that's all.
