I think yes. The guy has great stats. Notre Dame is a great story with the whole "team of destiny" thing. Why give it to some loser quarterback? I'm not sure a defensive player has ever won.

I really can only image Notre Dame players being at the ceremony. Might be a clean sweep this year.

I think he should.... who else is the favorite as of now? It's as if no one wants the heisman this year they all keep screwing up...

Definitely not a two-loss freshman qb

He is the best defensive player, I would agree with that. It is just so hard for a LB to win the Heisman. So I would have to say no, he doesn't win it.

                      just so hard = unprecedented

He will get invited and that's it. Enjoy the trip to NYC.

If they beat USC--- and that is a big "if".

Te'o is going to win it. I'm calling this shot now.

You obviously haven't seen Jadeveon Clowney or Jarvis Jones. Those guys are 1 and 2 as the best defensive players in CFB. Te'o stats aren't even close to either but because he's at Notre Dame he gets all the love. Just wait until the NFL draft to find out how both of these guys are freaks of football.

Both Jones and Clowney are great players, BUT.

First of all, Clowney isn't even eligible for the draft this year.

And Jones and Te'o play completely different positions. Te'o plays inside, and will play inside in the NFL, and Jones will play outside. There are 4-6 reputable draft boards and Te'o is a consistently ranked higher than Jones on 5 of the 6.

That doesn't take anything away from Jones, both players are going to have great NFL careers.

You guys are crazy. Johnny Manziel just became the first Freshman ever to have over 3000 yards passing and over 1000 rushing in one season. Not only that but he is the only player in CFB history to have in their career, 3 games of over 300 yards passing and 100 yards rushing (and he did this in his first 9 games of his career). His two losses come from the beginning of the season. Kid is better every game and no one is more fun to watch. I dont care if he has two losses, Griffin had 3 last year. The Heisman is for the best player in the country not for the best player on the best team. Thats a national championship MVP, not the Heisman.

                                  Johnny Football.

P.s. He also averages more yards per game by himself than 40 other schools.

You're kidding right? This is comical at best.

I would bet big money there is NOT ONE GM in the NFL that would take Te'o over Jarvis Jones

Jones is a game changer at the next level, Te'o is just another consistent run stopper in the middle

Did I mention I'm a huge ND fan too????

If ND beats USC and he has a big game, I don't see why he shouldn't win it. The kid has played his heart out all year and deserves it in my opinion.
