She just gave an entire press conference for five minutes in front of a guy killing turkeys on camera. Oh my God, I'm laughing so hard I'm crying. I know it's sick, but she's such a blithering idiot. At one point, oblivious to the fact that some guy is killing turkeys on camera ten feet behind her, she says "we'll probably invite criticism for doing this!" This is a Saturday Night Live skit, with nothing extra needed.

Okay now that's not Dan's posting style. Neither in terms of grammar nor style nor spirit.

What is going on here? Three minutes ago Dan was getting behind every bit of Republican spin out there. He should be presenting some crazy defence of Palin here.

As a republican who voted for Obama, I shudder at the very thought of this hillbilly being the future of my once-great party.

How the fook was she chosen to be McCain's VP is beyond me.

I hope GOP candidates keep listening to morons like Bill Kristol and watch this party dissolve.

She is good for some comedy, no doubt about that. Comics everywhere couldn't help but feel a bit of regret as she rode off into the sunset.

But it's good she is finding ways to keep providing material. I gotta think the Daily Show will have something good on this on Monday.

They need to find some kind of permanent special position for her - with no actual power obviously - (but don't tell her that) - so she can give us these periodic set-ups.

Basically just appoint her Mascot-For-Life.

It's called media sensationalism. I don't think anyone wrote a song about it but it is understandable nonetheless.

And yes pardoning a turkey, then doing an interview in front of a guy slaughtering turkeys is irony worth a chuckle... but it is also media sensationalism... I mean really, is this news?
