Arch, I appreciate your enthusiasm for working out. Any tips will be greatly welcomed. I allowed myself to get lazy and fatter over the last few years. I practically have a gym in my basement but it seems I have tipped the bottle too much.

#72hard for me to give tips or advice on training... I have odd training beliefs..
training is different for everyone
basically everything works, but only for a 4-12 time period... then you gotta mix it up...
low volume high intensity lifting high volume low intensity lifting....
if you have a decent training background I recomment a basic program like 5x5 methods or 10x10 german volume training... and then getting more exotic..
stick to basic compound movements... get plenty of recuperation time.... you grow in between workouts not during..Comment -
#73I am 6ft 4 and 250 at my heaviest. I was 190 in high school when I played ball, and usually stay between 215-225. After I get settled in Vegas, I am going to try to get to 210 with low body fat. I have talked to a personal trainer out there, and I think I can achieve my goal by the end of 09'. I write this more as a reminder to myself that it needs to be done. Seeing Arch in those pics reaffirms that hard work and preserverance does make a huge difference in anything we do in life. Congrats Arch, I hope to make similar strides this year.Comment -

#76supplements are mostly a waste of money.... might get ya an extra 3 or 4% which overall is not much...
whey protein is good though, helps ya get more calories in..... gotta eat eat eat can't be afraid to get a little smooth if you wanna be big, you can cut down later that's the easy part. milk, peanut butter, eggs, ect.
but yeah never really used any supplements that I felt were worth it... creatine works good to give ya 5-7 extra pounds of intracellular water.... test boosters seem to mostly be a waste...NO never realy tried other then some samples, gave me more vascularity for workouts.... Glycerine can't remember what the product was, but took that stuff pre workout for awhile and it gave you incredible pumps...
but the best anabolic substance is food and lots of it... bulk up cut down later,
I've been as high as 220 before, when I was really bulking up after college...been as low as 148 to make weight for powerlifting competitionComment -
