Deposit it all. Do not take any cash out of account for about month to be safe

most check cashing places wont cash it because it is usually a check from a bank outside of the US in which case Tech Nine is right, just deposit it into a bank account and wait for the funds to clear.

I got to know a couple tellers. Keep the checks under $2000 to be safe and I've never had any issues. GL

I've always just deposited them into a checking account, followed by waiting a few days for the clearing.

Rather get a ** payout and collect from the liquor store than get a check, deposit into a bank where they are prolly gonna put a few days hold on it anyway (and official papertrail is no good)

Get a foreign bank account @ HSBC in Los Angeles. They make the account look like it was open in Singapore...no problems since.

The tellers I have talked to say under $5000 should be no flags. As far as putting a hold on it I'm not sure the amount.

i usually just cash it at walmart.
i am on ssi, so it would effect it if i had it on my bank account.

True but ** payouts are usually limited to $700 to $1,000 and feed run $50 to $80 per ** cashout. Checks go up to 5k or more and fees are smaller.

easystreet has free express payouts, intenrtops fee per moneytransfer wsa 30 bucks too.

but bodogs fees are very very expensive its not even worth it.

$5.99 checks are tricky to cash without a fee. Try Wal-mart they only charge $3.oo for a legitimate looking 3rd party check - at least you will get $2.99
