Dude, really think about it. Do you really wanna sit around all day with a bunch of old farts, wanna be poker pros, newbie Vegas tourists' poker players looking to score big, and the locals who already do the same shit you're dreaming of doing? Grinding all day at 2/5 is gonna get old really fast, hope you're in good shape and don't end up with restless leg syndrome or worse, deep vein thrombosis from sitting all day.

My serious advice, if you feel you've got the chops, take 10 grand and enter the WSOP main event, also, you can play in a bunch of the other events to get a feel for real live tournament poker at the top level, against players from all over the world. Just think, make the final table at the main event and you're set for life if you win, and just making the final table would cement your reputation and earn you some serious coin. Plus the thrill of taking out a big time rounder in a major tournament beats cheesy ring games any day!

Better yet, take 20 grand, we'll both enter the main event with you staking me and I'll split 50/50 whatever I win, signed contract in writing. That way you've got two players in the field and just think about the possibilities if you're a gambling man. Hell, we both could end up at the final table. 20K is a drop in the bucket to a guy sitting on 250K. I regularly cash at my local casino tournaments and can furnish records of the big ones I've played in. A chip and a chair has always been my motto and any two cards. I fear no one, no matter who they are or what endorsement patch they're wearing. Best of luck.

MikeJamm is a liberal democrat and I would certainly AVOID making any deals with him. With the deal he is proposing, he would have to finish in the top 400 out of 8,000 players for you to break even. If he was that great a poker player, then he wouldn't be in awe of someone who has $250K to their name.

regarding poker it depends how good you are. you dont have to be very good to make living there. the tourists at 1/2 and 2/5 are terrible. even the 5/10 at bellagio is awful. not like AC. in AC and foxwoods the 5/10 is mostly all sharks. the 10/25 at bellagio is tough game though stay away. you can beat the 1/2 and 2/5 but do you really wanna sit there and grind all day?

Jay, I don't stake poker players and don't recommended anyone to do so. It rarely winds up working out for the individual doing the staking. Regarding the constitution only allowing republicans to vote, it sure seems like that was the intention of our founding forefathers who wrote it and here's plenty of evidence to back up my claim. When the constitution was written, the following groups of people were NOT permitted to vote: women, minorities, the poor (via land ownership requirements and poll taxes) and those that were illiterate. These 4 groups all have one thing very much in common as they all vote overwhelmingly democratic. If the amendments that were added to the constitution later on never took place, its certainly fair to say that the democratic party would have an extremely difficult time winning any elections.
