You use Outlook Express as your Email Client?
I just started using Outlook Express over Microsoft Outlook, since I like to use newsgroups from time to time. Microsoft Outlook didnt have a internal news reader, so I just decided to go back to using Outlook Express. So I didnt need to use two programs.

If you use Outlook Express as your email client, and hate the fact it sits on the Task Bar when minimized, wishing it would go to the System Tray instead.

Well here is a cool "freeware" program that helps you with that.

    HideOE

    Details:
    • HideOE can minimize Outlook Express to the Windows system tray and hide it from the taskbar.
    • One click on the HideOE try icon restores Outlook Express.
    • From the HideOE context menu, you can check mail or create messages and contacts.
    • HideOE can announce new messages in a pop-up window.

I just use Google, easy access from anywhere , well organized and fast. The days of these clent type e-mails are coming to a end. The yahoos and googles web based systems are much more popular and much more user friendly.

Secondly those e-mail clients like Outlook do take up some system resources running in the backround.

I use hotmail as well, which can be seen in Outlook Express or Mircosoft Outlook. I have 2 POP3 accounts that I need to keep up with from time to time. But my main email is a Web Based one, so I can read it from anywhere if I dont have my notebook with me.

With the computers these days, the resource problem is not that big of a issue. Unless your using a dinosaur.
