Has anyone here upgraded their AT&T phone?
AT&T offered an upgrade and I would like to get the iPhone 3G to replace my original iPhone.

    But I have some questions:

    1) I have not even completed 1 year of my current 2 year contract. Will upgrading result in my current contract being torn up and the new 2 year contract starting immediately? Or will it just be added to backend my current contract, meaning I would have 3 years to go.

    2) If I upgrade does this mean that the $5/month discount for Early Termination Fee goes in to effect with the new contract? I signed up prior to this law going in to effect with my current contract.

    3) If I were to cancel lets say 2 months after I upgrade, do they charge anything beyond the $175 early termination fee? And I get to keep the iPhone, correct?

I looked at the Bold but did not like that it lacks a touchscreen and the browser isn't very good.... at least according to reviews I've seen.

The Bold is also $399 compared to $99 for iPhone.... is it really worth it?
