Pirates are loaded with young talent to go with the likes of Cutch,Pedro Alvarez, and Gerrit Cole. If AJ Burnett decides to come back without demanding they break the bank for him, look for another 90 win season and a dangerous threat now in postseason now that they all got a taste of it last year. They have 2 top 16 prospects (OF Polanco and SP Taillon ) that will both make their debut's this season and if they get anything out of Andrew Lambo (led the minors in HR's last year while he was there and has chance to win a platoon starting 1B spot, and Jose Tabata, who just needs to be a .280-.300 hitter with a few extra Hr's than expected, just until G. Polanco can come up to take some of his at bats away, they will be a force. GO BUCS !

I think they move Castro to 2B and have Baez play SS this year. Maybe they trade Castro for some young pitching.

i think baez might still be a year away from the big leagues but who knows...might give them another year to evaluate castros ability at SS and his maturity....there are some good articles out there about this situation...heres one...

i think its assumed they are commited to him being a top of the rotation guy now....like he cant be any worse than 3 in that rotation now? probably 2? also paxton is 25....i dont think there is anyone on that list who is 25 right now

his AAA numbers last year were pretty pedestrian, yeah he looked good in his limited MLB time, but he is more likely to be the AAA version that was very hittable and didn't miss enough bats in 145 Innings

yeah I don't know much about him other than to look at his stats and see his whip was 1.48 and he gave up more than 1 hit per inning in AAA

he was the #87 prospect in 2013, now way you can NOT expect him to drop off the list after 2013's performance

if you are interested in seeing what type of stuff he has go to mariners website and they have some clips of his highlights. He totally shut down the Cardinals in st louis right before the playoffs making great hitters look silly.

he will never be great....book it
Bogaerts is a stud man. He's going to slash .300/.400/.500 at least five years in the bigs and play plus defense. Book that.
