CRIS and Greek usually have them up by 2:00 or so.
It's 5:40.......

Yeah but not a lot of big names were moved. The deadline was a couple hours ago.

Trade info pours in hours after the fact... and even small names effect team chemistry and strengths and weaknesses. No surprise they are taking their sweet time.

agree. This is right after the trade deadline. It's expected that lines will be delayed for a few hours.

Still no lines.
Buncha hacks changing teams. Only somewhat big names were Jokinen and Guerin.

well, before I didn't agree, but now I do. This is kinda ridiculous.
Still no lines at any of the books!

It would be understandable if "line-changing" players were involved in the trades (not knowing yet if they'll be ready to play for their new teams tonight), but that's not the case. The big names weren't moved.
When Jokinen emerges as the marquee player from yesterday, you know it was all hype and no substance.

I can't understand what happened. At 2:41 AM, someone who runs a virtual vegas type of thing on a forum I post on posted lines for the Rangers-Islanders game.
They turned out to be accurate. Is he just a good guesser, or was there actually a book that posted lines last night? I looked at different line services plus other sites that weren't listed on those services (betus, betonline, bet365, etc.) and none of them had lines last night.
I also don't get why it took until 10:30 AM for books to put lines up.

Yisman, it was most likely the Glantz-Culver Line.

Yeah, my morning paper today had the Glantz-Culver NHL lines. Pretty close to what the books opened at.

I assume that Culver is Russ Culver, the guy who bets on 90% of the Washington Nationals games? He used to post his baseball plays at EOG - interesting strategy.

Plommer, if the Pens win tonight, I owe you one.
I wasn't watching for lines being released and was able to get +125 after you gave the heads up about Pinny.

Sickler, no problem pal, I'm always glad to help out a fellow degenerate Canuck.
I'm making a big "square" play (Washington to beat Toronto in regulation), Gerber starting for the Leafs, if he gets the win in Washington I may have to quit gambling.

There's big money on the Leafs tonight, plommer. Washington in regulation looks like a good bet to me too, but I doubt it's +EV. Will most likely throw a unit on the Leafs straight up or +0.5 (while holding my nose).

Plommer, I hear ya.
Gerber didn't pan out well over here in Ottawa.
Tough first start for him at Wash.

I need Gerber to lay an egg tonight, nothing less.

Matty, Leafs are a big price but I'm not betting any other games tonight, it's important that my only bet of the night be a winner, go Capitals.
To say I'm confident the Capitals win is an understatement.

Pens came through at that tasty price.
Sorry about the loss, Plommer. If Gerber had played like that in Ottawa, he wouldn't have been warming the bench.

I didn't watch the game but he had something like 37 saves, only gave up one goal.
Could he be the savior the leafs have been looking for?
