Why do we bet the juice?
I am considering not betting the juice and can't really see why i should continue doing it. I'm not bashing it but looking for a reason to continue.

I'm considering paying the juice on my winnings instead of at the time of wager. So instead of betting 110 to win 100 I am proposing betting 100 to win 90. I just feel like losing streaks wouldn't hurt as much (15 bets going 5-10 would allow you to save 100). I think it all works out the same but why do pay the juice up front?

Just trying to get an understanding. TIA

Just lower your bet by 10 bucks and eliminate the -110 house edge! Awesome! Why didnt I ever think of that?

Instead of laying -110, you are now laying -111.11

Thank you, this is what I was looking for. You other idiots obviously can't read since i already implied that you pay the juice. I never said you didn't pay it, just asked why not pay it on the return. Thanks for making it clear Fish

He was just saying that 100 to win 90 is -111 juice. It would actually be 100 to win 90.90 which is -110....the exact same juice as 110 to win 10.

Take underdog money lines and kiss the vig goodbye. You won't even have to hit 50%.

Dumb ass.. You are paying 10% juice on your winnings..Bet 100 or 110.
When you bet 100 and win...you win 90.91...10% goes to the book.

I think I know what he means. Bet risk amount or win amount not bet juice.

Anyway I always bet risk amount, that's just the way I started betting and it made sense to me to do it like that. I tried betting win amount for a bit and I found for some reason I was picking more favourites in MLB and NHL, I also think win amount make people bet more than they should bankroll wise.

In reality no juice if you pick winners all the time

If you bet Phila -299 and it wins where is the juice??

he was just asking a question and proposing an idea

                                          ive seen lotsa dumber posts.

bad math but a semi-constructive subject matter.

exchanges maybe are the only solution. or betting underdogs.
