I believe that around 21-22 points will be good enough to win. Basically you MUST win 4 out of 5 of you 3* plays to have a shot. You could do it with 3 wins, but that is only 9 points. You would then need to go 8 out of 10 of your remaining plays.


At another forum that uses the same format, it took 24 points to win one year. I think that one guy it 24 points and 2 other guys were at 23 points. However, I believe that they were using pretty stale lines. We don't have too many real stale lines in this contest even though yisman managed to find about 12 off lines

With over 80 teams and a few lines that were quite soft, I would estimate that it will take around 19 points to finish in the top 10. Probably around 7 players within 19-20.5 points.


Now this doesn't take into account the final 4 unit pick. Add 4 points to the above totals to account for the National Championship game

Off lines don't always translate to covers obviously, refer to the bargain hunters taking Western Michigan.

Not sure about other teams. But I am 3-1 in 3 star games with western Kentucky pending. Also 1-0 in 2 star games. Rest of games still pending. Best of luck jake, looked at your picks look solid as always.

More important than the standings by actual score at this point are standings with your total possible score left out of 30. Some guys haven't even started with any plays left.

We have already had one REAL BIG loss for a lot of people in Western Michigan. Tomorrow the Northern Illinois game is big for a lot of people. USC and Florida State are big picks as well

For instance in the above chart, you can see that not too many people had BYU today. However 9 people had Memphis as a three star and a lot of other 2 and 1 star plays. Since I didn't pick that game, I was actually pulling for BYU since it would have given a loss to a lot of teams.
