You predict the final score (National Championship) closest without going over breaks the tie. Not sure if we pick both scores or combined...if still tied, the most 3* plays won and finally split winnings.

For last place if someone doesn't make a pick at all, then they shouldn't be allowed to win last place. And I have nothing to gain from that, but that is the only fair way to do it

Yes same tiebreaker applies.

Along with the 16th pick, players must enter the total # of points scored in the BCS championship to serve as primary tiebreaker. Closest without going over wins. If two or more teams are still tied, the most # of 3* wins is backup tiebreaker. If still tied, prizes split.

yeah I would say that makes sense if you want to go for last, do a tiebreaker with no chance of winning.

got a PM saying I was overthinking it..its just a tiebreaker to help solve last place but works different than placings.. so if you want last attempt to WIN the tiebreaker..dont pick 5000 ...

I get it as if you're last and win the tiebreaker, you win last...otherwise just make your pick and have the total as 0

I hope SBR will post picks just after deadline. That way we can hedge promptly.
Also, an SBR statement about tiebreaker for last place would help. I have no horse on last place race, but logic says trytrytry is right: Best tiebreak earns a better overall position, losing last pace prize. If last place is an exception, it should be clear on the rules.
