Off Topic - Ford 4.6L Engines from 1996-2001
If you own a Ford vehicle with a 4.6L engine in it. Go out and check if your coolant crossover on your intake manifold is plastic or aluminum. If it is plastic, be prepared for it to crack in the thermostat housing. Because mine did this week, and today I had it replaced.

There was a lawsuit that was won by the customers of Ford. It allowed them to get their intake manifold replaced for free, if it failed (cracked, started leaking). Well there was a limitation on that. The lawsuit time ended March 16th, 2006, and the extended part of the warranty ends 7 years after your vehicle was made. So I was sheit out of luck both ways, as my car is a 1998. So if your Ford 4.6L vehicle is a 2000 to 2001 (still covered by the 7 year warranty extention), make sure that thing is not cracked, or make it crack so you can get it replaced at no charge. To get the better intake installed.

These are the vehicles that have the plastic intake manifold:

1996 to 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis, Lincoln Town Car and Ford Crown Victoria cars, as well as 2002 Explorers and 1998 to 2001 Mustangs. Ford stopped using the manifolds in 2002.

Im just wanting to give a heads up to anyone with a listed vehicle above. To maybe dodge shelling out money on this like I had to today.
