College football is better than pro football. Granted, the bigger programs get better talent; but I think the best coaches are in college. Saban, Meyer, Harbaugh, Dabo and a few others. As far as pay goes, Al Davis set a precedent in paying coaches lower salaries and the rest have followed.

College HC's work 24/7, 365. Pro HC's do not have to visit 100 different schools to look for recruits to sign.

Pro sports are boring as shit compared to college. If you couldn't bet on the games no one would watch it. At least in college players actually care about winning instead of how much money they get for playing a game. Half the players in pro sports don't even try anymore.
Pro sports coaches make less because they aren't even in control of anything. The players run the team. When a star player can act like a tool and get a coach fired, example LeBron James, then you know coaches are just there as pawns to blame when things don't go well. There maybe a handful of coaches that actually do anything or have power over their teams but there isn't many in any league.
