2017 SBR Bash Itinerary: SBR PRO Party in Punta Cana!

Questions for the folks that have been here before:

1) Should we get DR pesos or are USD$ used?
2) Tipping at the bar, should we have pesos or USD$ for tipping at the bar and restaurants?
3) any other advice for first time visitors to the DR?

I tried tipping. They actually turn it down. Like hard core turn it down. Crazy.

Philly I know you're being facetious with most posts but BigDay is right to an extent here. Often at all-inclusive resorts staff is told by their management NOT to accept tips. Completely varies from resort to resort.

I've worked in service industry mgmt for years and I overtip everyone in life but in this case it's a tricky one. I'm sure I'll still end up tipping but it certainly wont be for every drink. More like take care of the staff at the damn swim up bar once a day. Gotta tip them just for having to deal with BigDay displacing the fukking pool water.

Well the bar tender was filling me full of shit then.

Guy wouldnt take my tip. Same with the servers delivering room service.

I thought it was weird too. Trust me. I tried. MmaChicka was my sever when we met. I tip well.

I've been to numerous of these all inclusive deals over the years for vacations, weddings and other crap. They genreally are not supposed/allowed to take tips. Occasionally some will bUT they are generally not supposed to.

you could be right Tad....I do remember tipping the last trip and don't recall anyone turning it down....

BD hit kind of a raw new as we were out Saturday night over at The SugarHouse Casino and sitting at the bar you can of course play slots and if you have a players card, drink for free....after getting our 1st round of freebies I tipped the bartender a 20 and of course every time our drinks were remotely empty, guy game by and refilled them...couple next to us of course didn't tip because the drinks were "free" and couldn't understand why we were getting good service and they had to call the bartender 3 or 4 times.....

Probably because when you got to the DR, you converted the USD to dominican pesos

So, when Bigday was trying to act like a fkn ballar and act like he was tipping $10, that cheap fuk was really just tipping 20 cents.

Wasn't worth their time to reach out their hands, rather keep their pride.

the babes at the County Line Bar B Q joint in Waller refused to take my money after I'd gutted a deer one time and didn't have any place to wash my hands before stopping for gas and some ribs.....
