as the preakness? the preakness was a bit shorter then the derby right? so at that length, Mine That Bird might have had a chance to make up the final bit of distance on Rachel A. right?

what about today, what is the distance?

Yes the Belmont is longer 1 1/2 miles vs. 1 3/16 miles for the Preakness, Rachel A. not running...

      Kentucky: 1 1/4 miles
      Preakness: 1 3/16 miles
      Belmont: 1 1/2 miles

Belmont is the longest of the three.

      Bet Chocolate Candy...!

He didn't say Rachel Alexandra was running in the Belmont.

And yes, Archie, Mine that Bird would've caught up to Rachel Alexandra if the track had been a little longer.

Mine That Bird starts off slow then explodes when he has to, but I just don't think he'll win today. I like Chocolate Candy...you can get bet the horse at 10 or 12 to 1...depends...

A Mile and a half at Belmont has a whole different pace scenario though, late running in the Preakness doesn't necessarily mean late running in the Belmont.

everyone in this thread, has forgotten more about horse capping in 1 day then I've learned in my whole life....

                which is
                1) the triple crown is the k. derby, the preakness, belmont
                2) Rachel Alexandria had no balls or penis

I think they go around the finish line twice. It's almost 1.5 times the track length. This is why it's hard for a speedy horse to win.

No, it's in Belmont Park, they only go around one time. You go around twice in smaller parks.

Absolutely. That's why I don't think MTB is going to win. I put my money on Chocolate Candy...I'm pissed though because the odds keep going down...I wanted them to stay around 12 to 1.
