Yeah tell me about it. Should have been another 4 - 1 night with a huge payout! (units and profits). but Loyola-CHI got their asses handed to them by the Bonnies (only game I lost on the teaser). and Northern Iowa, just like K-ST the night before, had a 20 - 25 point lead the entire game but yet somehow inexplicably got outscored by 10 points in the final two minutes of the game!!...SMH! FML!...

...only game I lost on the straight wager side! but we can't too greedy can we? I'm just happy I came out with another winning night and won a unit. I'm sure most here on SBR (and gamblers everywhere for that matter) will take that every day of the week and twice on Sunday...

I round off to the nearest whole dollar for easy math keeping. However, as I've mentioned and explained several times in this thread already, I will factor in the juice if lose 10+ plays @ (-110). I will then subtract an additional full unit from my units record. but a lot of my plays are also (+) money wagers. (teasers, parlays, etc.). also If I ever pay more than the customary (-110) price I will always list it.

Do you keep side stats on wins and losses for favs and dogs?
Maybe see if you have a better % with favs or dogs.
Might be interesting from year to year.
And if so, single digit, double digits for each as well ?
I did that for about 15 years. It showed me stuff I did not realize.

Thanks STR. To answer your question honestly, no I don't. I've never bothered to keep side stats or percentages on my wins and losses as it pertains to favs or dogs simply because I play them about equally. Having said that, I have noticed that when I see a very fishy line, trap game, sucker bet, (call it whatever), those games tend to hit a higher rate than normal. (I'd say about 60%). Like a couple of weeks ago when Auburn was (-11.5) over a red hot South Carolina team and Vegas and books were literally begging you to take the Gamecocks. Auburn blew them out by 40! truth be told, those are the only games us gamblers should bet on. In essence, Vegas and the books have already done the handicapping for you and basically telling you which way to bet.

...but to answer your question honestly, I seriously thought about taking the blue devils and was chomping at the bit. but I decided to lay off because of the classic "look ahead" spot scenario. Duke plays their arch rival UNC in a couple more days to close out the season before the ACC tournament. Maybe they let their guard down just a wee bit against NC ST? maybe the wolfpack sneak in the back door? Discretion being the better part of valor, I decided not to force a play...
